Dr. Knox is the bomb - Took our kids on this tour of haunted Edinburgh and we all loved it! Beware of salty language if that is a concern for you with kids, but Dr. Knox was an absolute gem. Quick witted, hilarious and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Fuuuun!!! - Definitely a must do! Super fun and historical. Our guide was The Great Lafayette and he was great. He was fun in the old town and the cemetery. And very respectful in the underground part. We learned a lot and had a great time.

A nice evening walk with excellent gruesome history. - Knowledge friendly host...good pace round the tour. Hamming it up at all the appropriate moments. Good recommendations for other things to do while walking. An excellent 75 mins well spent.

Great experience if you want gruesome historical stories with some ghosts, highly recommend - Tour guide John Kinceaid (spelling may be wrong?) was great, told the stories well and had a great ‘character’/personality for the tour and there were some very gruesome stories and interesting facts. Only thing we’d say was that the name of the tour doesn’t quite reflect the tour itself, not very terrifying.

Tour of Terror, but no Terror - The name implied there would be some fairly scary stories of the horrors around Edinburgh and its history, with a grim and dark figure leading us through the ancient streets. What we got was an energetic tour guide taking us around to some good spots on, and just off the royal mile, telling us a few historical tales along the way. I didn’t dislike the tour, but it was not what I was expecting based on the name “Tour of Terror.” Captain Gray was very knowledgeable and a lot of fun, but did not lean into the spooky side of things. I’d definitely recommended this tour if you’re interested in seeing some highlights around the royal mile and getting a taste for the history, but if you’re looking for spooky tales and a scare, this tour didn’t deliver.

Terror of a tour! - This tour was a big disappointment. Unfortunately our guide was not a natural story teller! His delivery was random, disjointed and not at all engaging. We spent 75 minutes silently walking to 3 locations to then be told what seemed like random snippets of gruesome tales. We did go around a graveyard and there were some tales about grave robbers. However be warned the tour does not include underground tunnels, we were taken down some stairs into an underground flat done up to look old and scary and a neighbouring vault, before exiting out of the door we first came in. Sorry but we felt it was a total waste of money and would not recommend.
