Big ups John - John was an amazing guide, a fountain of knowledge of the ghosts and stories of Edinburgh with a splash of humour. Would definitely recommend to all.

Worth it! - My wife and I added this tour last minute and we very much enjoyed it. John Kincaid was a great guide. He knew the knowledge well, was very personable, and funny

Wonderful tour with the perfect guide! - Dr. Knox is knowledgeable, with a dry, very quick wit. His persona is perfect for this gig, from his gravely voice to his period ensemble. He seems to be a true believer, which really sells the experience. He jokes about it, but as we discussed this review it seems we all really did fall a little bit in love with him. awkward!

Great tour - An excellent tour through the history of Edinburgh. Our guide, Soldier Jock, was a great storyteller and made the entire experience equal part hilarious and horrifying.

Really enjoyable tour with great tour guide. - Really enjoyed our tour of Greyfriars Kirkyard and the Underground Vaults. Excellent tour guide, James Douglas. Introduced himself to everyone and engaged with us throughout the tour. Would definitely recommend.

Soldier Jock was great. ... - Soldier Jock was great. That said, my booking stated that the Tom Riddle grave site was part of the tour. It was not. We had to find it ourselves. Not enough experiences or stories were included.

Not recommended - Boring, lack of creativity, too expensive, only few rooms to visit, simply not worth for the money you pay, stories are not very interesting. The only advantage is that Agnes spoke very clearly and for us as foreigners it was easy to understand. But the rest is really disappointing…

Complete rip-off, Captain Grey was cringey and so boring that counting water droplets in the Vaults was more welcoming - First off, there is no way anyone can be voting this Ghost Walk a decent score, especially if it was with Captain Grey.... El Captain Grey spent 20 minutes going round the entire group doing introductions and then trying and failing to come up with jokes for each and every customer. The Vault trip was beyond boring and unengaging, Grey rambled on about the bridge for 35 minutes and it was so boring, people were checking their watches and more interested in the water droplets from the Vault ceiling that Greys boring tones. The Grave yard was marginally better, but again Captain Grey is cringey, not funny and was frankly just interested in chatting with locals in the group than anyone else. I saw a FREE Street performer who had more magnetism with random strangers, than anything Captain Grey could ever muster up. What is world famous about this Tour? There was about 30 seconds of vague mentions of ghosts here and there, about 95% boring rambles about the Bridge. Is the childish mouse prop repeated twice really the best you can offer in terms of being interactive? Been to other Ghost Walks in York etc which have been great, maybe Send Grey there for a refresher on how's it's done and what it truly means to be interactive? To conclude, I have to say the Edinburgh tour with Captain Grey was pathetic on so many levels and ultimately a complete waste of money.

Waste of time and money! - I was very disappointed in our tour. Our tour guide was very sweet but English was not her first language and she misprounced so many words it was very difficult to understand - most of my party left after the 1st 5 mins. I wasted my time and money. I very rarely write a bad review but I couldn't ignore this one.
