We’ll tell you how the process starts, how the industry grew, and all about some of the wacky characters and intriguing stories that helped to make the Scottish whisky industry the finest in the world.
Along the way, we’ll sample whiskies from each of the major whisky producing regions in Scotland, whilst exploring a newly uncovered underground area of Edinburgh.

Just off the Royal Mile, behind St Giles Cathedral on Parliament Square, you will find the CodE Pod Hostel just past the statue of James Braidwood the fireman. The meeting point is inside the hostel reception area, we'll head underground from there.

Unique whiskey experience - Very informative in a relaxing interesting setting. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Oh and the whiskey was amazing!

5* Whisky Tasting Experience - This was a fantastic experience I was gifted for a Birthday Present.
Pajh was an amazing host, so entertaining & knowledgeable and made a real effort to engage with tge group & bring us together to share appreciate the various drams!
We opted for the premium whisky that you are unlikely to find elsewhere they were extraordinary!
Would highly recommend & look forward to a return visit :-)

Great location, whisky, and host! - We really enjoyed the unique underground location, and Eleanor was quite knowledgeable and entertaining. I recommend the experience , especially if you’re a fan of good whisky.

Enjoyable evening with great whiskey - Great introduction to the smaller distilleries in Scotland. A great host who went to great lengths to make it an enjoyable evening, lots of laughter and to understand our preferences when it comes to whiskey flavours. Also had a history lesson into the 'closes' found below ground level, as our whiskey tasting took place in one of their own discoveries under the building. Just one note - please take notice of the meeting place, 1A Parliament Square.

Great Host - Very entertaining and informative. Excellent atmosphere and interesting selection of whiskeys. The small group made the event more personal and the hour and a half was a good amount of time for the tasting.

Whiskey under Edinburgh - My husband and I are not whiskey drinkers, but that didn’t matter at all. Our host James is wonderful at making the experience not intimidating, fun, and enjoyable. We sampled whiskey from all the different whiskey regions around Scotland, and he took note of what each of us enjoyed, or didn’t enjoy, and tried to tailor the samples for each of us individually. Lovely intimate experience.

Whiskey choices not interesting - Explanations were good, whiskey was just meh. Did not want to purchase any of the samples. Disappointed. Expected better quality whiskeys given the price.
