A fun afternoon with great Whiskey - Our guide Brian was very knowledgeable and took us to some great spots. He introduced us to some whiskey we definitely would not find in the US. It was a great afternoon.

Lovely tour for history and a little whiskey - We had a lovely time. We learned so much about Edinburgh history, enjoyed a walk through the Royal Mile and a few sips of whiskey along the way. Lovely afternoon.

Gray way to keep warm on a cold day - Doug’s knowledge and the atmosphere at each pub. Great whiskey and hospitality. We shared a lot of stories and experiences. We even visited a graveyard monument dedicated to Scottish soldiers who served in the American Civil War.

Amazing Private Whiskey Tour - We booked this tour and would gladly do it again just to hang out with Fedor our guide. He was knowledgeble, funny and was able to alter his tour plan based on our interests as we continued through the night. We had a great time learning the history of the area and different ways of drinking whiskeys. Like I said, we would gladly do this tour with him again!

A great tour of local pubs - Doug was a great host. He took me to four local pubs, two in New Town and two in Old Town, and we tasted four whiskeys from Scotland’s primary whiskey regions, Lowlands, Highlands, Speyside, and Islay. The pubs were small and not the type of places i probably would have gone in by myself. Doug was knowledgeable, but not intimidating, and we had easy conversation. He would work for whiskey novices and those with more experience.

A top experience - Superbly run and such a welcoming service provided by Mike on the door followed up by a fascinating tour by the lovely smiley Lucy (Disneys model for the film Brave!) . She was full of knowledge and enthusiasm and made us really welcome.

Fantastic - Whiskey tasting and tour. The staff were super, from the start to the end of the tour. At first, we had a virtual tour of the history of whiskey, then moved to a room whetectgdy explained how whiskey is mixed and how different areas create whiskey, then we moved to the bar for whiskey tasting. They showed us how to smell, look at and taste the whiskey. We tried 5 on all and were given a glass at the end. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and don't even like whiskey as a rule, but really enjoyed the different smells and flavours. The staff were friendly and informative and we got a bit drunk, the warmth was welcome on a cold day! We returned to the shop several times to buy gifts, the prices are lower than other stores along the mile and I like the staff. We will go back again, and are starting a drinks cabinet for Christmas and friends, and started getting gufts there for people at our wedding 👍

Nowhere near the experience as advertised - I have to say I was very disappointed by this experience. Although our host was a really great guy I feel that I did not get anywhere near what I paid for. This cost me £168 which is utterly insane for what it was. Of that £60 went on drinks. I don't by any means blame the host, I really take issue with the way the ad describes what to expect and then doesn't even try to deliver and this is the fault of the company I believe. Only after you book you are told that your host is not a professional tour guide, rather just a local who has a free night, and it really showed. There was no pre planning really and he knew very little about whiskey and mostly just asked the bartender for recommendations. I had been told I'd get a personalised experience and one of my requests was to go off the beaten track to find hidden spots where the locals go. We went to 3 pubs on the Royal Mile... I could've done that for free. We did go to a nice whiskey bar at the end but it was pretty obvious this was the same routine the guide did with everyone and was in no way whatsoever personalised. Avoid this, it's a complete rip off.
