Highlights
  • Forth Bridge - From Edinburgh, we travel to South Queensferry to view the Forth Bridges, offering a chance to photograph three of the world’s most remarkable bridges.
  • Dunfermline Abbey and Palace - After crossing the River Forth, our first stop is the magnificent Dunfermline Abbey, the burial site of King Robert the Bruce. You’ll have the opportunity to photograph his ornate gold tomb, explore the Abbey and its grounds, and witness the impact of the ‘reformation’ when churches were destroyed and desecrated in the name of God.
  • Anstruther - Passing by Carnegie Hall (birthplace of the renowned philanthropist Andrew Carnegie), we journey along the Fife coast through the charming fishing villages of the ‘East Neuk’, stopping in Anstruther, a historic herring port. Here, you can try “the best fish and chips in Scotland” or enjoy a snack at the Fisheries Museum.
  • St. Andrews - Our journey continues to St Andrews, the home of golf, religion, and St Andrews University. Spend up to 2 ½ hours in this historic and beautiful setting. In good weather, the beach featured in the movie ‘Chariots of Fire’ is particularly popular, as are the 16th-century tunnels beneath the Castle.

Fabulous trip - This scheduled tour was cancelled and I agreed to go with another tour to theHighlands. Brandon was our guy and he was wonderful,,,even when we had to turn around due to an accident on the road ahead of us…it turned out to be. A great day. He did a wonderful job. Gayle Greenwood

Perfect mixture of history and sightseeing with the best driver ever - We were rebooked to this tour as the original tour to Glasgow and the Lowlands was cancelled. And what a luck we had! The tour was amazing with great stops at many important historic sides. We had plenty of time at the stops and were able to do a bit of sightseeing ourselves, e.g. the castle in St. Andrews. The highlight of the tour though was our driver Brendan („with an a“), who made the whole trip the most enjoyable experience. He provided us with so much information, had a great humor und was even a great singer. Thank you so much for this wonderful trip! P.S.: we are from Germany and it was easy to follow all the stories, so no worries for all non-native speakers!

Great Tour Guide (Brian) - The bus picks you up at your hotel, as per the itinerary it is exactly as stated and get dropped off close to your hotel. The best part for us was our tour guide Brian. He knows the history very well and explained all the sites to us. He provided recommendations, also suggested places to avoid and how to use our time efficiently while at each stop. The little fishing villages of the ‘East Neuk', we highly suggest eating fish and chips and mussels, it is so fresh and delicious. We went to the Golf museum, it was ok. Overall, we recommend this bus tour with Gray Line Edinburgh, Scotland

Nice tour - Was a good tour but have a complaint about both coach drivers we had. The first one who drove the feeder bus felt the need to shout out the window and insult a bicycle rider in Edinburgh. Then our main coach driver/guide who was good at his job I felt let himself down right at the end as we only had a few pounds to hand for a tip and he made a sarcastic comment about not being able to buy a drink with that amount! Seriously, don't let yourself down or your company. Remember tips are not compulsory but good customer service is.
