- Doune Castle - The first stop is Doune Castle, an impressive late 14th-century fortress. This castle served as Winterfell in Game of Thrones and Castle Leoch in Outlander. It also featured as Swamp Castle, Castle Anthrax, and Camelot in the cult comedy film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Visitors will have time to explore the Castle.
- Loch Lubnaig - The tour will visit the beautiful Loch Lubnaig. This small yet stunningly situated freshwater loch, nestled between the striking mountains of Ben Ledi and Ben Vane, is where the group will pause for some light refreshments.
- Kilchurn Castle - Kilchurn Castle is located at the head of Loch Awe, surrounded by mountains. While enjoying the scenery, there will be a stop for photos at this mid-15th-century ruined castle.
- Inveraray - Inveraray is set in a picturesque location on the shores of Loch Fyne, making it an ideal lunch stop. With nearly 2 hours here, there is ample time to explore. Visitors may choose to visit the 19th-century Inveraray Jail (open year-round, tickets available on the day), a living museum offering a glimpse into life behind bars. Others might prefer to wander around this charming little town.
During the summer months (April to October, Thursday to Monday only), a visit to Inveraray Castle (tickets available on the day) is an option. The Duke of Argyll and his family currently reside there. Visitors can enjoy the fresh Highland air while strolling through the parkland, woodland, and gardens, which are vibrant with azaleas and rhododendrons that thrive in Argyll during the summer.
- Rest and be Thankful - There will be a pause for photos at the ‘Rest and Be Thankful,’ an iconic Scottish viewpoint named after the words carved in stone by weary soldiers who constructed the original military road in 1753.
- Luss - The final stop of the day is the charming highland village of Luss, located on the beautiful banks of Loch Lomond. Approximately 1,500 years ago, an Irish missionary, St Kessog, arrived at Loch Lomond, bringing Christianity to the area. There is time to explore the village, and visitors should take a walk down to the pier to see Ben Lomond standing majestically over Loch Lomond.
