Loved it, want to go back and explore, thanks Keith! - Our guide Keith was THE BEST. he clearly loved his job, was incredibly good at driving and telling captivating stories in his Scottish accent at the same time. Got right out with us the entire time taking photos and marveling at the beauty while also giving us some interesting history lessons and folklore tales. The Scottish landscape is just so beautiful and there was a good mix of talking and then some stretches of music (all songs handpicked by Keith to match the point we were at in the tour or to show us his favourite Scottish artists). Even though out bus wouldn't start the last day so we ended up going back the last day with another group, Keith made sure to meet us at the hotel before we were picked up to say bye to us and let us know how sad he was that he wouldn't be able to drive us back. Inverness was super cute and we went to a random bar after dinner and got a beautiful show of what seemed more like friends getting together to jam. The hotel was alright too, all in all very good value for the price!

Excellent tour with an exceptional tour guide! - The tour was exceptional and Chris did a great job throughout the 3-day journey. He has great sense of humour, very fluent and very knowledgeable. He made the tour quite alive specially when the weather was not quite good. Well done Highland Experience Tours! Highly recommended. Cheers😀

The Higlands, bagpipes, princesses, fish and chips and Nessie - I booked this trip blindly to get to know a bit better the Highlands and the Isle of Skye, and I just say it has been the best choice ever. Our tour guide Hugh offered us an amazing trip into the magical Highlands, sharing amazing folklore stories and also history events, that immerse us more into the experience. Travelling through an overwhelming landscape we learned about the Sad story of the Campbells and the MacDonnalds, the sisters that were turned into mountains, the lovely Nessie, the river of eternal youth and the lake (loch, sorry!) of fertility. Our guide happened to be a bagpipe player, and starred in a gig up in the Inverness, where we had lovely haggis for dinner in a local pub. I strongly recommend this tour, you will not be disappointed ❤️

Wonderful experience! - Great 3 day tour to see the highlights of the highlands. And very nice that this tour departed directly from our hotel (Hotel CoDe Pod The CoURT) in Edinburgh. Our humorous and spontaneous guide Chris could tell us a lot about the Scottish landscape and took the wishes of all passengers into account. Despite not being able to see everything due to a weather warning (code yellow) on Isle of Skye, our guide had taken an alternative route (to the Fairy Pools) which, despite not being able to see the north anymore, was a wonderful alternative to see. If you have your overnight stay in Inverness then I definitely recommend going to The Black Isle bar and the Highlander. These are super cozy pubs (especially on weekends) to fill your evening program with. You get plenty of moments during the tour for stops to walk around freely at the venues, and even though you spend a lot of time on the bus, you look out through the beautiful scenery. In any case, the people in Scotland are very friendly and you always have a claim with someone. I'm already excited to go back to Scotland!

Unforgettable trip, well worth your time - Comfortable and easy way to experience some of what the Highlands has to offer. Vast views of beautiful sky, hills and crystal clear water. Chris, our guide, was a great storyteller, peppering in humorous tales with facts to bring centuries of historical events and people to life. The landscape was stunningly beautiful, heather covered hills studded with ubiquitous sheep and of course the occasional Highland coo. The bus was clean and the stops were well spaced out, allowing us to see many of the castles along the way. We stayed in a charming B&B in Inverness during the 3 day tour but when I return to Scotland I will book the longer tour. Wonderful.

Great 3 day tour - What a great 3 day tour. Overnight accommodations were great. Alex our tour guide was exceptional. Very informative. Lots of history and information. I was impressed by his knowledge of all the stops on the tour. Also he threw in a few good “dad jokes!” His food recommendations were good. Wish we had some time to see the “coos.” The Whiskey ice cream was fantastic. The waterfalls were beautiful. I highly recommend this tour.

Amazing experience!! *bring Gravol* - This trip was amazing! Our tour guide Keith was the perfect combination of knowledge and humor. He made sure we got the most out of our stops even the shorter ones. He gave great suggestions of places to eat/drink/avoid to make sure we had a good experience in whatever town we were in. The sites were all breathtaking. The tour laid good groundwork if you want to come back and spend more time in the Highland and Skye. I suggest to anyone doing this trip, whether you get carsick or not, bring Gravol as a precaution; the roads are very windy and bumpy. Definitely pack layers as the weather here is ever changing, make sure to bring a good rain coat. This time of year was not busy as all which was a bonus.

Excellent Guide, Excellent Tour - Our guide, Neil, made us feel welcome the entirety of our 3-day Highlands tour. When the weather wouldn’t cooperate, he still made sure we had things to see and do in the Highlands. Even “after hours” on the tour he made himself available for recommendations on places to eat and drink in Inverness. Neil went out of his way to accommodate us whenever it was feasible, including our desire to see a “hairy coo” up close and personal. I will not forget my experience in the Highlands anytime soon thanks to Neil!

Three days in a bus ….. - I want a full refund. I usually don’t write reviews if I have nothing positive to say, but I will make an exception here as this was more than a horrible experience. We spent three days in a bus, we barely got out and when we got off to eat lunch we had one hour which meant we had to eat very fast or get fast food). I SPECIFICALLY WANT TO SAY THIS TO EVERYONE READING : Tripadvisor does not give a clear picture of what this is about. I searched all the possible options for a Highland trip and decided on this one because based on the itinerary provided, it was the best option for me. From all the spots mentioned in the three day itinerary, we only went to half and from all the photos of the listing we went to max 3 places so the pictures are not a good representation and neither is the itinerary. Ad for the pictures this is because buses cannot go to most of those places which means other TripAdvisor listings also are giving wrong information. When I talked to the tour guide about this, he said that on their website everything is clear and explained and he knows nothing about Tripadvisor and that this is Tripadvisors fault. Also, I want to mention that the tour guide never went off the bus and he just let us go explore for five minutes several stops which was just stopping at the side of the road, basically not at the sites mentioned in the itinerary. He did put an effort and he did say a lot of information about places we were passing through, He also gave us the option to get a boat ride if we paid an extra amount which was nice and worth the price as it was an escape from sitting in the bus for around two more hours. When you want to see nature and explore and roam around in such wonderful landscapes and all you do is sit in a heated bus for three days, waiting to have a comfort stop just so that you can eat and go to the bathroom, well that’s not ideal, and it is definitely not what I paid for.
