Be sure to experience all that this tour provides. Highly recommended. - Fabulous tour, amazing vistas. Our driver, Martin, was very informative, personable, and made stops for a wee stretch or comfort break. Highly recommended!

The Best to Do in Scotland - The tour was amazing. Martin, the driver, was even better. Glencoe, 3-Sisters and 3-Commandos areas were really worth to see. It was a very nice trip to Highlands of Scotland.

Bang-For-Buck Journey through Scotland - As other reviews will tell you, it's a LONG day. But so much is packed into this value-for-money trip that it's a must if you have a free day on your Scotland trip. From the city, through villages, to the highlands -- you'll see a bit of everything in a day. Our guide Stephen (and driver David) made it for us, their energy, sense of humor, and music selection really amplifying our experience. Be sure to pack some water and maybe some snacks (for the longer drive stretches) and a light jacket for the constantly changing weather. And when you're enjoying the Scottish music selections, get lost in the scenery out the window as you're ferried from place to place (Stephen, check out Timothy Monger's "Hebridean Dram" and add it to your Spotify playlist!). A+ experience overall.

Amazing tour of the Scottish highlands - Our tour of the Scottish highlands with Hairy Coo was wonderful! We did the 1-Day Loch Ness, Scottish Highlands, Glencoe & Pitlochry tour. Our tour guide and driver, Martin, was delightful and entertaining. We loved hearing all the facts and story’s he told thought our journey. The tour started with a short breakfast stop in Calendar, then we visited some hairy coos (Scottish cows) and got to feed them! Next we had a beautiful scenic drive up to Loch Ness with a nice picture stop along the way. We had a couple of hours in Loch Ness for lunch and a boat tour in the loch. We had anot her picture stop before the final stop in Pitlochry where we tried the highly recommended single malt whiskey ice cream. It was delicious! I can’t recommend this tour and our tour guide enough. It was a great way to experience the highlands for the first time and in a short amount of time.

Fun and informative! - First and foremost we were really glad Pete was our driver/tour guide because he was chatty and had a sense of humour which, I think, were a good combo to keep us tourists awake during the entire 12-hour road trip. His taste in music is impeccable! ;-) Pickup details were clear and easy to follow. We arrived around 7:35am, waited for maybe less than 10 mins before we started getting on the bus. What we loved most were the highlights of the trip especially Loch Ness and Pitlochry. I would have loved it more if it was also possible to include the Wallace Monument in this particular booking. Overall, my family and I had so much fun and it's great value for money as well. It's just unfortunate that we can't bring young children (minimum age for this trip is 7yo) along and I can absolutely understand why--schedule is quite hectic and there's no toilet in the coach which would have been more convenient. For those who want to make most of their Highlands trip, book this one! it's worth it.

You can't go wrong with the Hairy Coo - A long day of travel but the experience was well worth the time. Ewan, our driver, made the experience delightful in spite of a few passengers who were habitually late at every stop.

Fantastic tour. - What a fantastic tour! I was a little worried about surviving a 12-hour tour, but my fears were totally unfounded. The scenery was SO beautiful, the stops well planned out including some great bakeries and ice cream shops! A nice mix of scenery, history and legends. Stephen and Paul were great guides and made the trip fun. Well worth the time! The Highlands were just amazing. Make sure you take the optional Loch Ness boat tour as well; you'll learn a lot and be able to take a "photo" of Nessie!

Wonderful tour (especially if you love a structured day)! - This is a great tour. I gave 4/5 stars only because I’m used to traveling solo and making my own schedules based on my prioritized interests… and don’t prefer bus tours. There were spots along our driving routes that I would have loved to stop and admire more closely because I was on the wrong side of the bus for a proper view (and I would have perhaps liked to spend more time in some itinerary locations vs. others) but all of that being said, we were able to make a few extra stops because of how well we had managed our time, which was lovely. The Hairy Coo knows what they’re doing and it was a great day with a lot of fun banter, insightful history lessons, and gorgeous sightseeing. It was our first time in the Highlands and this tour was a lovely, full introduction that I would definitely recommend!

This trip was torture. - This was a loud, callous party bus, not an experience for connecting to or respecting the landscape, its rich history and culture. The operator (who thought he was hilarious) shared very little interesting content in that regard. Most of the trip was awful music blasting so loud we had to use napkins to stuff into our ears for relief. As a function of that: no option to have special moments or conversation with the people you'd come with unless you wanted to be shouting over the music. We didn't stop at very many lookout points in the Highlands or Glencoe, and the ones we did weren't the best - I found myself wishing we'd be stopping at two lookouts that were so gorgeous compared to any of the ones we did stop at. The operator lied about how small the Loch Ness area was so that people would purchase the discounted tickets on the ferry ride. Pitlochry shouldn't be included as a stop to boast in this tour, as the whole town is basically closed by the time you get there. Towards the end, the operator flashed the lights off and on to match the gratingly loud music. Cherry on top of a full day onslaught of sensory overstimulation that had me in tears by the end. I have no idea how 13 hours straight of a flashing irreverent party bus driving through some of the most softly spooky dark foggy highland landscapes has rendered 5/5 stars on Tripadvisor. I swear to god it felt like the cold open of a horror movie where a bus of tourists die from creatures of ancient myth but nobody in the audience minds because they were behaving so poorly, ignorant and disrespectful of their surroundings.
