Our tour today 26/02/25 hosted by Danny!! - Today, we had an incredible tour experience! As part of our itinerary for my Nan’s birthday trip to Edinburgh, I had booked this tour, and it did not disappoint. Our guide, Danny, was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and full of great insights that made the trip even more enjoyable. The tour started with a bit of rainy, cloudy weather, but by around 11 AM, the skies cleared, and we were treated to breathtaking views of the mountains and surrounding landscapes. The coach ride itself was an adventure—at times, it felt like a roller coaster due to the winding roads—but it only added to the excitement! Danny made sure we stopped at plenty of scenic locations, including a few unplanned ones so we wouldn’t miss out on the stunning reflections on the lochs. The water was so still that the trees mirrored perfectly—such a beautiful sight. One of the highlights was the optional boat cruise (£20 per adult, £13 per child). I’m so glad we did it because it was absolutely worth it! Though it was just water and trees stretching for miles, the scenery was breathtaking. We even spotted some wildlife, including goats and (I think) an eagle! After the cruise, we grabbed a bite to eat and a hot drink from a local café, which closed at 2:30 PM. Then, we continued our journey with several more stops in the afternoon, each offering stunning views. One of my favorite moments was visiting the Highland cows—such beautiful animals! We also saw some red deer, and I was amazed by how massive they were in person. Before heading back, we stopped at the Scottish Corner, where Danny recommended trying single malt whisky ice cream. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was surprisingly strong and absolutely delicious! Overall, this tour was an unforgettable experience, filled with breathtaking scenery, amazing wildlife, and great company. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Scotland and make sure Danny is your tour guide! (If your able to) Make sure to leave Danny a tip, bless him, he looked absolutely knackered and even offered to stop off to closer locations for people to get home safely!
