Fantastic tour with amazing guide - This was a fantastic tour. Our guide, Lorna, was excellent and fun and she shared so much information about Scotland with us that the two days went by in an instant. The stops on the tour were great - a good mix of quick stops and longer stops to explore. We would definitely book again to do another tour with Timberbush (and especially Lorna). The tour was very reasonably priced also. The only slightly negative is that the tour bus is a little cramped. It was ok for two days, however it would have been even better if the bus had one less row of seats and therefore a little more space.

On the Highlands with Santa. - Just back from our two-day trip to Inverness and the Highlands with Timberbush Tours’ Paul Santa. Was a great trip and we saw so much! Can’t imagine doing this tour in only one day. Special thanks to our driver and guide Paul Santa (yes…white beard and all!) He went out of his way to ensure we were all taken care of and his special “ninja” stops allowed us to see some extra hidden gems and Highland cows we otherwise wouldn’t have seen.

Blast with Paul Santa - Had an absolute blast journeying through the Highlands with Paul Santa. He made the tour better with his “ninja stops” that allowed us all to see things that others might not. The trip was absolute perfection and he made an effort to keep us entertained and tailor the experience to our group’s interests. Would highly recommend going with Paul Santa!

Great tour! - Had a great time. Visited all the spots I wanted and got a couple of extras I didn’t know about. Driver/guide was funny. Bus was quite comfortable. Weather held (which I know tour company has no control over but it helps a lot w a pleasant tour).

Highlands Were Wonderful - Our driver/host took us to see many historical sites and knew a lot of the history. He made a lot of stops which we appreciated. You can’t go wrong on this 2 day tour.

Mixed Feelings - Although I enjoyed the experience because the Scottish Highlands are beautiful and the tour was comfortable with a small number of people, there were things that were really disappointing and misleading. I really thought we would have the opportunity to see the bridge where the Jacobite train crosses over but I was disappointed that this was not a part of the itinerary but for some reason I thought it was! Anyhow, the start to our trip was so confusing because we received an email telling us to be at the meeting point for a 9:00 am departure. This was ABSOLUTELY wrong and we would have missed the bus because as I knew from my communication with the operator, departure was at 8:30 am. Since we did not want to take any chances, we ignored the latest email and stuck to the original time. Another disappointment was reaching Inverness close to 7:00 pm. The town shuts down at 7:00 pm so there was nothing to do or see. Even getting food was a problem. I think the overnight stop should have been at Fort Augustus. It's a much prettier town and we got there by 4:30-5:00 pm. The rest of the trip could have continued from the next morning. Another BIG disappointment was the Blair Athol Distillery. There was no arrangement by the tour operator for our visit so when we got there, they told us that they were full for both the 4:30 & 5:30 tours since we did not have a booking. The operator should not put it on the itinerary if they have no intentions of letting us visit. Was quite a let down. Another thing I was told via email was that drop off was possible at Waverley all we had to do was ask our guide. Well, he outright refused and dropped us off at Charlotte square (which was not even mentioned anywhere!) in the rain. Despite all of this, I don't want to just dwell on the disappointments. The experience was still enjoyable. We had a very knowledgeable guide who showed us many sights that were amazing and we would never have got to see them if we hadn't taken the tour. I suppose the organizers could improve the experience if they tweaked it a little bit.

Tall people take note! - The tour guide Lorna was great. Beautiful scenery, 19 passenger tour bus was very clean. HOWEVER, there was absolutely NO legroom for anyone taller than 5’. I am 5’2” and was uncomfortable. My 6’3” husband and others were miserable. Their legs were out in the aisle which could have been a safety issue. We left the tour in Inverness and took the train back to Edinburgh. It (the train) was very comfortable! I would NOT recommend this tour due to the lack of leg room on the company’s chosen mode of transportation.

The worst trip ever! - This had to be the worst excursion we have ever taken. There were 17 people crammed on a bus my husband spent the day (7hrs)sitting sideways with his feet in the isle because the seats were jammed together and there wasn’t enough room to sit safely. I would never recommend this trip! We left the trip at the halfway point and took a train back to our hotel. I felt sorry for the driver she did an excellent job but it couldn’t make up for the discomfort and the lack of being able to ride safely.
