We make a stop at Culross, where Claire was accused of witchcraft in the village of ‘Cranesmuir’. This charming village is the most complete example of a 17th and 18th century burgh in Scotland today.
- Falkland - After lunch we will continue to the village of Falkland, used for filming 1940’s Inverness. With over 28 listed buildings it gives a good representation of this period.
- Blackness Castle - Our final stop is at Blackness Castle, the 15th century fortress use to represent Fort William in the show.

Embark on a journey tracing the paths of Jamie and Claire from the popular series Outlander with this small-group tour. A local guide will share the captivating history and tales that contributed to the show’s success. Visit iconic locations featured in the series, including Midhope Castle, the real-life Lallybroch, Doune Castle, the seat of Clan MacKenzie, and the charming coastal village of Dysart, depicted as the port of Le Havre. The guide will provide insights into the history and stories of each site, making this an ideal excursion for those seeking a quick Outlander experience.
- A maximum of 10 people per booking
- Unfortunately we are unable to carry children under 5 years old, and anyone under 17 must be accompanied by an adult. There are no maximum age restrictions.
- It is recommended to book transport to the departure point in advance. Please also allow extra time to get to the departure point for check-in. We advise you arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour departure to allow time to check-in for the tour. Unfortunately, we are unable to hold the bus or refund for any late arrivals.
- There are days when a castle may be closed for filming or other reasons. The tour will then include Linlithgow Palace in its place as an exterior visit.
- Return times are approximate and subject to road conditions and weather. Please ensure you allocate sufficient time for any onward travel plans, allowing at least 3 hours after the scheduled return time for connections or activities.
- Midhope Castle is closed for the season from December 2024 to 1st of March 2025 and will be substituted with Linlithgow Palace

Perfection - This was one of the best coach tours I’ve ever been on! Graeme was a delightful tour guide, and made the experience that much better. Loved it so much we are considering booking another. Highly recommend!

Outlander extravaganza! - I can’t believe we fit so much in one day without feeling rushed. Ryan was great and could point out the specific windows or shops where bits of the show happened, plus a lot of great general Scottish history. I really loved the village of Culross.

Best Day! - Alister and Keith were fantastic guides! Very funny and very informative. I would recommend this tour (or any of the tours) with this group! I had never seen Outlander, but now that I have seen the castles, I might check it out!
