The splendid remains of an extensive Royal Palace, nestled by the Linlithgow Loch, was a favored dwelling of the Stewart monarchs, from James I to Mary, Queen of Scots. Continuing our journey North, we approach Stirling Castle, which stands as one of Scotland’s largest and most significant strongholds. Several Scottish rulers, including Mary, Queen of Scots, were crowned here in 1542. As we return to our opulent VIP Class minibus, we drive East to one of our previous Capitals and your tour of Dunfermline Abbey and Palace ensues. Following your visit, we proceed to our lunch stop and Falkland Palace. Situated in the core of a preservation village, this partially restored Renaissance palace is an ideal spot for a leisurely afternoon. Portions of the Palace are in ruins, yet the refurbished rooms display 17th-century Flemish tapestries, intricate painted ceilings, and vintage furniture. Moving South, our last stop of the day is Aberdour Castle, one of the two senior standing castles in Scotland.
