Royal mile private tour - Enjoyed our experience with Robert. He gave us a historical glimpse of Edinburgh and the royal mile. He tailored it to your wishes. He was friendly and entertaining.

Great experience - Robert was great, very knowledgeable as to be expected but also great with the kids and brought the history to life. You have no idea what you are missing walking the mile on your own.

Fantastic Tour! - Robert was an outstanding guide. He spent the first few minutes after we met asking us what we were most interested in so he could tailor the tour for us. He provided interesting historical information mixed in with entertaining stories and he has a great sense of humor. We thoroughly enjoyed our private Royal Mile walking tour with Robert and I would highly recommend him.

Best walking tour! - The tour was one of if not the most amazing and memorable tours I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. There was an abundance of relevant historical stories and tales that kept the tour interesting whilst also adding in some humour and depth. We also managed to walk around to quite a few different places, yet the pacing was very well planned so your feet do not become sore. There was enough stopping and walking so that you could see a lot of buildings, incredible views and learn about the amazing history of Edinburgh. 100% would recommend :)

Such an amazing experience - This was the best tour I have ever been on.
Robert was absolutely amazing in showing us great views of Edinburgh and teaching us about different historical relevancies. I recommend Robert to tourists and even locals who are striving to learn more about their Edinburgh surroundings.

A must-do in Edinburgh! - Robert is absolutely fantastic. This tour was the highlight of our trip to Scotland and England. He's a fantastic storyteller, has superb knowledge to share, and really looked after us (incl. being inclusive and culturally sensitive). Also - some great jokes, tailored to our Australian school group. I strongly recommend Robert’s tours!

Robert’s tour was the absolute highlight of Edinburgh. We are a couple in our 40s and go on private tours on all vacations. This was the best of the all.
1. Booking:
Message him directly if the web indicates he’s sold out. We tried well in advance and he was able to work us into his day.
2. Kind and accommodating:
We had booked a Greyfriars Kirkyard tour. When Robert learned our time in Edinburgh was cut short, he altered the tour to include other important sites.
3. Smart, fun and interesting:
Robert is a teacher by profession. This is clear in his excitement and the way he explains history. My husband loses interest easily but was listening the entire time.
4. Considering booking for different areas in different days:
If we had another day, we would have tried to have us take us on a different tour.

Excellent tour - We really enjoyed our tour with Robert. He was engaging and the pace of the tour was perfect. We visited a number of areas just off the Royal Mile and he pointed out some excellent photo opportunities. Well worth the investment and we would thoroughly recommend.
