From the clouds to the bottom - It’s hard for me to understand how many operations work the ballooning industry in Luxor but balloons depart and come down so many times in the morning that you’d think it wouldn’t matter. I’m not sure how many balloons this operator operates but I can tell you one thing. Our pilot was incredible. He manage to lift up the balloon, head north than go up again (to the point where we were the highest balloon in the air) and catch the opposite winds and land us back to where we started. Sounds easy? Well I doubt it because I saw other balloons around us go up after us and come down before us, I saw some fly up and never get enough lift to get very high, others fly into fields and I’m wondering how on earth is our guide capable of doing what he does and perfectly landing us where we started . I can only come to the conclusion that years of experience and knowledge on flying is what does it. Two huge thumbs up to the pilot and the ground crew. I was very impressed (and with 25+ years of backpacking, that’s getting harder and harder to do).

Horrible company - We booked this trip we start after the time mentioned in the description. I send message to Viator operator the contact the local company to find a solution. The company refused to help me. I propose to pay more to go earlier and to pay difference they refused and wanted me to pay a new ticket. So I accepted to make ballon later than the time mentioned. Very poor experience you don’t fly above valley you fly only above field Don’t book with them The first time I have a problem in Egypt
