Wonderful archipelago tour - This tour was a highlight of our visit to Finland. Matti is a wonderful guide and this tour of the archipelago was beautiful. The stopover at the fisherman’s cottage was interesting and added a lot to our understanding of people’s lives on these islands. We followed Matti’s advice and had our afternoon coffee after our tour at the Cafe Gamla Stan in the charming, oldest part of Tammisaari which made a perfect ending to a wonderful afternoon. Thanks Matti!

Archipelago Magic - We spent a wonderful day with Matti exploring the archipelago and its 1300 islands. He is warm, witty, knowledgeable and an excellent navigator. He is also an absolute delight to be with. We learned so much about the local flora and fauna as well as the culture, language and history. Thank you so much, Matti!! I highly recommend this tour!

Memorable 2-Hour Cruise of Tammisaari Archipelago - We had the pleasure of joining Guide Matti for a two-hour archipelago cruise on his motor boat. Matti knows the waters by heart and told us interesting stories about the local areas and points of interest as well as pointed out some of the archipelago birds (White-tailed Eagle and osprey as highlights) for me to photograph. Matti is also happy to accommodate specific tour requests. For example, we wanted to maximise the cruising time and therefore did not visit any of the islands on foot. He also dropped us off directly to the pier of the hotel we were staying. If you're looking for a boat excursion in Tammisaari then Matti is your Guide!

Matti was an excellent captain and guide and was very intent on giving us wonderful memories. We would definitely recommend his tour if in the Tammisaari area.

Great national park, great trip, great guide - I think it was wonderful to have a guided boat trip to the archipelago and the national park. Everything was great and we got a good overview of the National Park and its wildlife and the mining village of Jussarö. I wholeheartedly recommend the national park in Tammisaari Archipelago and guidematti tours!

Great evening tour in the archipelago ! - We just finished a 4 hours boat-tour (5.15 PM to 9.15 PM) in the tammasaari area with Matti, that was awesome. Matti is very knowledgeable and he makes sure that you learn everything about the archipelago, the local animals and trees. His boat is very safe and you also have time for a 40min hike on a beautiful island. Then comes the snack time at sunset with coffee and tea. Don't forget to ask Matti about his famous joke about Finnish and Swedish neighbours !

Very informative and exciting tour - Initially I was just looking to charter a boat to get to an island to camp for one night, but ended up booking Matti who was very helpful in deciding where to stay. We started off heading towards the biggest island of the archipelago but along the way we went past an island owned by a group dedicated to keeping the archipelago clean. He told us about the group and that people are welcome to stay there and use the amenities for free, but we have to clean up after ourselves, easy decision to make. Along the way he tells us about different animals species native to the islands, when their breeding seasons are, etc. The following day he came to pick us up right on time and we rode around the archipelago and finished the tour. Highly recommend!

He is a charming, friendly and fun person and a very competent guide. We fully recommend his trips!

Passionate Guide & Service - It wasn’t summer yet so most of the activities were not available. Through Helsinki tourist information center I got to know Matti who had kindly take me out to the archipelago in his boat. He agreed to meet me at the train station and even text me the details of my train ride. Matti also drove me round the town and showed me where the tourist info center is, places I could have lunch, etc.. The boat ride was interesting and enjoyable with Matti’s sharing..thank you!
