This once-in-a-lifetime adventure starts at the ‘Bajo de las sombras’ port, located in the Los Glaciares National Park.
The entire journey lasts roughly 2 hours. In this duration, you will witness spectacular ice formations, acquaint yourselves with the regional flora, fauna, and glaciology, and notably, understand the catastrophic process of glacier calving.
Given the walk’s moderate level of difficulty and the irregular yet solid ground, it is only feasible for individuals between the ages of 08 and 65. This is chiefly due to its physical rigour. Furthermore, pregnant women or people with reduced mobility, arthritis, artificial limbs, knee issues, meniscus troubles, obesity or cardiovascular problems are not suited for it.
The organizers do not provide meals, hence participants are expected to pack their own lunch and bring along a water bottle (there’s no facility for purchasing food).
- Minimum age is 8
- Maximum age is 65 due to age restrictions on the operator’s insurance
