Great tour - Perfect day. Guide and driver were awesome. The hikes were very simple, but intensely beautiful. Lunch was actually one of the better meals I’ve had in Argentina. Definitely recommend. .

Great tour!! - What an incredible day we had on this tour. Even though the weather wasn't the best we still got to enjoy our time in El Chalten. Our tour guide was great and my family and I really enjoyed our time.

A cool and unforgettable day! - If you come to El Calafate it is essential to take this tour. Some reviews say it's not worth it because of the distance, but don't be fooled, take the trip. I would only recommend not doing it if you are a fan of trekking and want to explore many trails in the region. To do this, you need to stay overnight in El Chaten! Martin, Ramiro and Gustavo treated us very well and made the journey light and fun!

Spectacular scenery with great commentary - Our guide Sandra spoke both Spanish and English and would translate quickly to keep us interested and up to date. Fantastic information given. Absolutely incredible views throughout the day and we took lots of photos. Huge and delicious lunch! Driver was excellent too

Fantastic Day! - Sandra was an excellent guide and was good at communicating in both English and Spanish. We enjoyed the history, views, and trying to spot wild animals. The hike up the mountain to view Fitz Roy was amazing. The lamb stew and large portion of mashed potatoes for lunch were so good. It was a long day with a lot of riding in the bus but it was definitely worth it.

Excellent - An experience to recommend Because the place is a dream but above all the guide Sandra Martínez who gave us a special 😍 wildlife geography history class was wonderful throughout the trip and the driver Alejandro Ripol who stopped us at the places to take the best photos We had a beautiful day and we are going to recommend this company everywhere.

Not as described - It was very nice in the ranch. But we did not visit the silver museum and the bar as listed in the itinerary (and I especially requested to visited these places when purchasing this tour). So it was a bit disappointing.

Almost but not quite - Great guide . Trip did not live up to expectations. Walks were brief and El Chaten was bland. Food in restaurant was substantial ant tasty. Too much time on bus - could it have been split into walks on journey.

It was a little disappointing due to how much it cost and the distance - It's a three hour journey from Calafate to el chalten, we hired a service for 3 trekkings but in fact they only took us to one because the other 2 were closed, they should have notified us beforehand or not charged the full price for the tour. We only did the condor trail, you are given shoes and a stick at the beginning of the walk because there is a lot of ice and it is too slippery without accessories, the trail is light, even though it is up a mountain, you can actually see the birds flying over your head, there are many of them. I would have liked to have seen the frozen waterfall and the other trail that was closed. A shame because I won't be going back there again.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - BAIT AND SWITCH!!! - This company, South Road Patagonia Extrema, picked us up at our hotel in El Calafate this morning and literally TEN MINUTES into the bus trip tells us the roads are shut down to El Chalten and we can take an “alternate” trip to 4 “archeological sites” with fossils. WHAT! We said no, drop us back off and I want a refund. I was told by the guide that we need to handle a refund with the operator. I immediately WhatsApp message the tour operator, who saw each message immediately, and has ignored my request for a refund ALL DAY. Not an acknowledgment, not a word back. $160 for my husband and I to get picked up for 10 minutes on a bus to a cancelled tour. Talk about bait and switch!!! They pick up the group and GEE! The trip is magically cancelled right after we’re all on the bus, but hey… “you can see these sites instead.” I’ve filed a complaint with Viator and my credit card company. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!
