• CC53+W5 El Coyote - Embark on a kayaking adventure down the Santa María River in the Sierra Gorda of Querétaro. After gathering at the designated meeting point, participants will head to the river, where an introductory talk about the activity and the river descent will take place. A brief lesson on kayak handling will be provided to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience (the activity occurs on a section of the river with category 1 rapids, ideal for beginners, using open-top kayaks). Following the lesson, participants will gear up and practice kayaking. Once prepared, the descent begins; paddlers will navigate through calm pools, offering a chance to admire the river’s landscape, flora, and fauna. Between each pool lies the thrilling part of the descent: The Rapids, where paddlers will apply their skills, reveling in the waves, the water’s speed, and the adrenaline rush. Midway through the journey, there will be a pause to swim and relax in a pool surrounded by lush nature. The descent concludes at the confluence of the Ayutla River and the Santa María River.
