Great trip, but read 1st. - Booked this trip through our hotel rep. We had Tui people on our trip, but not 100% sure that this is the actual trip we did, although content is the same. This is a brilliant trip and a great way to experience the real Tunisia and see the North and South, but please be aware that a LOT of the trip is spent sitting on the bus. On the 1st day i would say we spent about 6 1/2 hours on the bus and on the second day we were in bus / jeep for over 8 hours. We had a maximum drive between stops of just over 2 hours. There is no toilet on the bus so there is a fine line between keeping hydrated and drinking too much. (Depending on your bladder control) At some places the toilets were not fit for female use. Dirty / no seats. At star wars village the toilets had to be paid for. (1 dinar each) Take plenty of water and snacks with you as all drinks are chargeable. We felt that 1 hour at El Jem was not enough time and we didn't get to see it all. I was pleasantly surprised that we were not pestered by anyone for tips etc. They were there but not too pushy, which is a refreshing change. The quads / camels / cart rides are an extra charge, but do really add to the experience. (I own my own quad and was surprised how much fun it was in the dunes) The overnight stay has tasty food and a comfy room. Both days start early to get everything fitted in. On the bus at 6.30am 1st day (got to overnight hotel at 6.00pm) and on the bus at 5.30am 2nd day. (Back to main hotel at 7.30pm) Short stop to see sunrise at the salt lake was a good photo opportunity, but cold. 4x4 jeep ride to star wars village was good, going up and down sand dunes was fun. Star Wars village was nothing special but it is interesting to see if you are interested in the film. Lots of stalls to buy souvenir rocks / salt / jewellery etc. The horse and cart ride was a short journey to a local allotment where we were shown local plants and given the opportunity to taste and buy dates. Maybe it is my lack of knowledge, but I thought an oasis was a small quaint group of trees with a watering hole, (like in the films) rather than a large village in a moisture rich area in the middle of the desert. Great experience not to be missed if you take on board the above and take summer and warm clothes if you go in December.

Don't Miss Out... Book This Tour!! - Aida, Saleh & the other staff involved were all fantastic people. They took us to the most scenic, beautiful & famous spots. Aida is extremely knowledgeable, very smart & an impressive linguist who speaks multiple languages. Saleh is a skilled driver & fun comedian :)! We always felt safe on the roads. The Team knew exactly where to go & what to do, we were kept very well informed about times, locations, distance, prices, etc, which was really helpful. Get some rest the night before you leave because these 2 days are packed full with activities & travelling from early morning to early evening. It's an adventure not to be missed. Happy New Year Team & Thank you so much. Xxx

Fantastic tour! - Fantastic tour! It was very well organised, and both Mohamed (our guide) and Monsef (our driver) were lovely. We got to see much more than the description says, including sunset and sunrise in the desert and wonderful views. Always good to have some extra cash for tips, toilets, drinks and snacks. Thank you TUI!

2 day Sahara trip - The tour was great. They fit a lot into two days so it’s a lot of going. I wasn’t in Tunisia for a long time so I really wanted to see as much as possible and they made it happen.

Sun, sand and Star Wars - Enjoyable 2 days seeing a variety of sites around Tunisia. A great way to see and experience lots of different activities. Highlight of our trip El Jem and the dune rides. Knowledgeable guide and plenty of stops for drinks, snacks and photos. Only call outs (not negative) take plenty of cash as no card payments and prepare for an early (4am!!!) start in day 2. Great value for money and definitely worth it

Go for it! But expect early wake ups and lots of driving! - Great trip and this will be very memorable! Of course theres always negatives, it felt very rushed but what can you expect in just 2 days?! Go for more days if you can afford it. You are on the coach for 1200km which is about 12 hours a day. Camels and quad bike are not included, I wish I were told this beforehand, cost us 140 dinar for two of us but it is worth it! If you’re experienced with quads like myself then slow down, stay back then catch up to have fun. Otherwise it can be boring and slow. Be prepared to be woken up at 3.30am the second day. And also be prepared to take plenty of cash for drinks, snacks ect. Sahara hotel is fancy! Good food! Head coverups are 12 dinar each You have to pay to use toilets in star wars area Food at star wars area was a plate shared between 4 people, i’d rather have my own plate Thankyou! Trip ended with a sales pitch about rugs😂 Do not get in the back of the jeep if your tall lol I made this mistake. Take ear plugs, neck cushion and plenty of drinks
