Pyramids of Giza - Begin your tour with a pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza by a tour guide. The Giza pyramid complex, also known as the Giza Necropolis, is located on the Giza Plateau in Greater Cairo, Egypt. It includes the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with their associated pyramid complexes and the Great Sphinx of Giza. These structures were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. The site also features several cemeteries and the remains of a workers’ village.

The complex is situated at the edge of the Western Desert, about 9 km (5 mi) west of the Nile River in Giza, and roughly 13 km (8 mi) southwest of Cairo’s city center.

Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, which is now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, but the site has not been fully excavated.

Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple has yielded several statues of Khafre, some of which were found in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860.

Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple.

Great Sphinx - The Great Sphinx is located on the east side of the complex. Egyptologists generally agree that the head of the Great Sphinx is that of Khafre. In addition to these major monuments, there are several smaller satellite structures, known as “queens” pyramids, causeways, and valley pyramids.

The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Commonly known as the Egyptian Museum or Museum of Cairo, this museum in Cairo, Egypt, houses an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. It contains 120,000 items, with a representative selection on display and the remainder in storage. Built in 1901 by the Italian construction company Garozzo-Zaffarani and designed by French architect Marcel Dourgnon, the museum is one of the largest in the region. As of March 2019, it is open to the public. In 2020, it is set to be replaced by the new Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza.

Khan Al-Khalili - Next, visit the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. The many shops in this area are known for selling fine brassware, copper, perfumes, leather, silver, gold, antiques, and more.

Tour to Alexandria from Cairo

Cairo - The tour starts at 07:00 am with a pickup from your hotel in either Cairo or Giza by a tour guide. You will then be transferred by a private A/C vehicle to Alexandria, which is 220 km away from Cairo. You will arrive in Alexandria around 10 am to begin your day tour.

Inside, you will find 2nd-century AD statues of Sobek and Anubis wearing Roman armor.

Bibliotheca Alexandria - Then, visit the Alexandria Library. Founded in the 3rd century BC shortly after the city was established as Egypt’s new capital by Alexander the Great, the library is considered one of the greatest achievements in ancient Alexandria. The library and the Mouseion, the larger institution of learning of which the library was a part, are credited with preserving much of the knowledge of the ancient world.

It was constructed between 1477 and 1479 AD (882–884 AH) by Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf al-Din Qa’it Bay. The citadel is situated on the eastern side of the northern tip of Pharos Island at the entrance of the Eastern Harbour.
