• Pyramids of Giza - Our expert licensed tour guide will pick you up and transfer you to Cairo, approximately 220 km away. Upon arrival, embark on a full-day tour visiting the Great Pyramids - Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos, followed by a visit to the Valley Temple where the priests mummified King Chephren’s body.
• Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - The only fully preserved portrait of the king is a three-inch high ivory figurine discovered in a temple ruin from a later period at Abydos in 1903. Other reliefs and statues were found in fragments, and many of Khufu’s buildings are lost. Information about Khufu comes from inscriptions in his necropolis at Giza and later documents, such as the Westcar Papyrus from the 13th dynasty.
• Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple revealed several statues of Khafre, some discovered in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860, and others found during later excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.
• Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also contained several statues of Menkaure.
• Great Sphinx - Here, you will have a close-up view of The Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren, standing by the vast funeral complex.
• The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Continue your tour to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which showcases the largest and most valuable collection of Egyptian art in the world. It features a rare collection of over 250,000 genuine artifacts dating back 5,000 years, including a special exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamun, with treasures, gold, and jewelry buried in his tomb for over 3,500 years before their discovery in the 1920s.
