A Warm Welcome to the Farm

As soon as we arrived at the family-owned farm in Elimbah, I could feel the excitement bubbling up inside me. The kids were practically bouncing in their seats, eager to meet the animals they had heard so much about. The farm is conveniently located close to both Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, making it an easy day trip for families in the area.

Upon entering, we were greeted by the friendly staff who handed us buckets of feed. The animals, sensing our arrival, were already peeking out from their pens, eager to make new friends. The sight of sheep, goats, and even a baby donkey waiting to be fed was enough to make anyone’s heart melt. My youngest, who is usually a bit shy around animals, was immediately drawn to the gentle calf and her best friend, a baby donkey. Watching them take food gently from her hand was a moment I won’t soon forget.

Fun for All Ages

The farm is truly a haven for families, offering a variety of activities that cater to both the young and the young at heart. My husband and I took turns playing with the kids in the sandpit and pushing them around in the Tiny Tike cars. Meanwhile, our eldest was thrilled to try out the outdoor Putt Putt course, which provided just the right amount of challenge and fun.

One of the highlights of our visit was the chook pen, where my daughter spent a good amount of time sitting and patting the chickens. It was a peaceful moment, and I could see how much she enjoyed the simple pleasure of being close to the animals. The farm also offers a tractor ride, which we decided to save for our next visit, giving us a perfect excuse to return.

A Perfect Picnic Spot

After a morning filled with animal encounters and play, we found a lovely spot to sit and enjoy our packed lunch. The farm provides plenty of picnic areas, allowing families to relax and take in the scenic beauty of the surroundings. As we ate, we watched other families enjoying their time, some feeding the ducks, others laughing as they navigated the Putt Putt course.

The owners and volunteers at the farm truly go above and beyond to ensure that every visitor has a memorable experience. Their passion for the animals and dedication to creating a welcoming environment is evident in every aspect of the farm. As we packed up to leave, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to share such a wonderful day with my family. We left with full hearts and a promise to return soon, knowing that this farm would become a cherished part of our family adventures.
