At the crest of the mountain lies a large hollow that resembles a footprint. Buddhists in the area consider this imprint to be that of Buddha’s left foot. Hindus, on the other hand, attribute the footprint to Lord Shiva. Meanwhile, Muslims and Christians share the belief that it marks the spot where Adam set foot on earth after being exiled from the Garden of Eden.
