Lovely tea picking experience - Me and my partner chose the guided tour to the plantation fields. Our guide, Sallay, was a lovely and knowledgeable guide who took us picking tea in the fields. Great experience.

Great tour and very informative. - We did the tea plucking tour. Sallay and Maria were excellent guides. Sallay gave us loads of information on the tea industry. We came away with a much better understanding of the industry and the very hard working plucker.

Very nice tour! - Very nice tour where you get information about the process of making tea and the accompanying trees. After that you will pick your own tea for 20 min with a local and you will get 5 types of tea to taste. Takes a total of about 45 min. Good English-speaking Guide.

Exciting tea picking experience - Many explanations from the guide to tea picking and tea production. Even picking tea was an interesting experience. Afterwards we were allowed to taste the different teas.

Tea Picking Tour - Wow! What a great couple of hours with Sallay our Tea picking guide. He was so knowledgeable & friendly. Who knew tea picking is so difficult?! We slipped & slid on steep slopes while trying to pick the right leaves, throw them over our shoulders into the basket & keep the strap of the basket on our heads! Fabulous tea tasting & explanations from Sallay back in the factory. It was a brilliant trip & would recommend to all travellers to Ella. Definitely the highlight of my stay here.

Tea picking tour with Sallay. - We had a fantastic time on the tea picking tour with our host Sallay. What a lovely knowledgable man. He was informative and very friendly and approachable. We enjoyed a few laughs too! Would definitely recommend this.

Disorganization and lack of information - I bought the tickets through trip advisor and since no time appeared for the visit I wrote to confirm it. I was told it could be anytime between 8:30 and 16:30. We came at 12:30 and because the elections were closed, no one told me about this two weeks before when I wrote to them, something they already had to take into account. A guard told us that the workers would be at 1, so we waited. At 13:30 some workers started arriving and we were sent to a room where we have been waiting for more than 15 minutes. They took us to another room, took the tickets and had us wait another 15 minutes. They have left us waiting again and what was happening is that they were constantly waiting for people to arrive to join the visit and do them all at once. There's no point in not having a visiting schedule and then having an extra hour waiting for more people to join. At last we started the visit which has been 5 minutes of explanation and 20 minutes collecting leaves. Then we have moved on to a room again for a tasting The visit is not especially worth it, let alone waste 3 hours on it.
