• Ella - Begin your adventure from Ella, a premier tourist destination in Sri Lanka. Our driver will pick you up from hotels in the Ella, Bandarawela, or Wellawaya areas. The vehicle will be an air-conditioned car or minivan. Pickup times are as follows: Morning Safari - every half hour between 3:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.; Afternoon Safari - 11:15 a.m. Pickup times may vary slightly based on your hotel’s location and the locations of other guests sharing the safari. The taxi service is shared.

After departing, you’ll be transferred to Tissamaharama in about 2 hours. You’ll have the opportunity to witness the sunrise during the latter part of the journey.

• Tissamaharama - Upon arrival in Tissamaharama, you’ll switch from the transfer vehicle to a shared safari vehicle. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities, so we use rugged Toyota Hilux 4x4 vehicles, specially equipped to handle the diverse off-road conditions of YALA National Park. Safari vehicles have 6 individual seats, offering a 270-degree view for guests.
• Yala National Park - This is the first game drive of the day and a highlight of the journey, lasting 2 hours. We aim to enter YALA National Park at dawn, one of the best times to spot the elusive Sri Lankan leopards, a subspecies native to Sri Lanka. YALA is home to approximately a hundred leopards.
• Patanangala - After the first game drive, you’ll take a break at Patanangala beach inside YALA National Park, facing the Indian Ocean. You can enjoy your breakfast during this break. Breakfast is not included in the tour but can be requested for an additional charge. The Sri Lankan picnic breakfast includes Plain Hopper, Egg Hopper, Rotti, Coconut Sambol, Sini Sambol, and Sri Lankan fruits.
• Yala National Park - After the break, you’ll embark on the second game drive of the day, lasting 1 hour. Marvel at the sight of majestic elephants, graceful spotted deer, and elusive sloth bears, among other mesmerizing species. Your knowledgeable driver-guide will provide insights into the behaviors and habitats of YALA’s diverse wildlife, enriching your safari experience. Every moment promises an unforgettable encounter, as YALA offers a sanctuary where the extraordinary becomes the norm.
• Tissamaharama - After completing the second game drive, you’ll exit YALA National Park and travel back to Tissamaharama in the safari vehicle. You’ll then switch back to the transfer vehicle.
• Mirissa - A 2-hour transfer from Tissamaharama to the areas of Habaraduwa, Koggala, Ahangama, Midigama, Weligama, Mirissa, Kamburugamuwa, Matara, Dondra, Gandara, or Talalla.
