Great Kayak experience. - We had an amazing time with Justin. It was my first time kayaking so I was a bit nervous, but Justin put me at ease. The water was extremely calm. He had wonderfully comfortable kayaks. Went at a good pace. He is a treasure trove of naturalist information. Wonderful time.

Kayaks + Justin = Amazing Adventure - We've been coming to Door County for decades and this was one of our all-time great adventures, thanks to Justin. We were scheduled to explore the Niagara Escarpment, but the wind and waves would have been too much for us. Justin adjusted the plan on the fly, and we went to the calmer side of the peninsula and explored the Mink River estuary. It would be difficult to imagine a better guide: Justin's instruction was excellent - we were on the water in no time. His knowledge of, well, Every aspect of Door County was extensive: geology, history, conservation, birds, flora, fauna, the little water-lilies and the huge sweep of forests. And his own tacit knowledge from his life in this special area. He encouraged us gently, kept us moving, and yet we never felt rushed. We talked, but we also listened. We learned about the waterways, and we learned about ourselves and what we could do with an able guide. An amazing adventure with a fabulous waterman. Wherever you might go with him - do it!

Kayak Guide Justin is the BEST! - My wife and I enjoyed our first trip last year with Justin so much that we booked another trip in 2024. This time we opted for the sunset cruise in Ellison Bay and brought along our kids. Justin did not disappoint. It helped that we had a beautiful evening with a leeward wind and calm seas. As usual Justin was an amazing guide and shared interesting stories about the history of Ellison Bay, the geology of Door County, and the environment. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our trip and it was the highlight of our 4th of July weekend. I can't say enough positive comments about Justin. I really respect his vision for his business and the principled approach he is taking to chasing his dream. Justin's equipment is top notch and he is a highly experienced outfitter that you can put your trust in. Don't look any further and book with Justin for your trip! I know I will never use another guide.

Excellent guided kayaking experience! - I highly recommend Justin Adventure Tours! My 16 year-old son, his friend and I went on a kayaking trip with Justin to see Deaths Door. I’ve been on numerous guided sea kayaking trips - up in the apostle islands, Antelope canyon, off the coast of Alaska, and outside of Vancouver. This was one of the most well-run, informative, professional, and engaging trips I’ve been on. I chose Justin’s company because he is a certified guide (safety first!) and we each had our own individual kayak (having good equipment makes such a difference for an experience like this and I personally do not like the sit upon kayaks other companies use). What made this trip special though was Justin‘s passion for the Great Lakes, his knowledge of the geology/cultural history of the area, and his respect for the natural world. His passion is contagious. Our paddle was relatively short (2ish hours) - perfect for my son and his friend. Justin made it fun for them, making sure to engage them in conversation and racing them back to the beach. He also took surprisingly good photos of us, (the only picture I have from this trip with all three of us in it). Justin mentioned that he does a trip around Rock Island as well. Next time I’m up in the area, I’ll definitely be signing up for that trip.

Second Trip Was Awesome! - The Mink River Estuary This was our second kayak trip with Justin in two weeks. The tour was so inviting for those who desire to see and learn more about Door County. The Mink River Estuary is an oasis of serenity and beauty. Seeing bald eagles fly above you as you kayaked through the estuary was phenomenal. Justin is so passionate about the area and showing people why the estuary is a treasure. We are looking forward to another adventure with Justin in another area of Door County. Can’t wait!
