Wonderful - Richard was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and respectful of our indigenous hosts. The village and waterfall experiences were one of the best in our many years of vacation/travel. It might be a bit of a hike in dry season, wear you bathing suit under your clothes, water shoes or similar would be best

Back to Nature - My trip to the Embera village was so amazing. It was a unique experience to see how people are still living like all our ancestors lived. I have memories that will last me a life time.

book this tour! such a great small group experience. - This was such a great experience, we were lucky to have just us, another guest and Mario our guide for our tour. We were picked up at our hotel and driven to the lake where we boarded a boat and were taken thru the lake and river as far as we could go then we put on our water shoes and walked thru the creeks to the waterfall. After some time enjoying a swim there we went back to the boat and then went to visit the village of the Parara Puru. We had a nice visit and lunch and were able to purchase some nice items that they made. They were very welcoming and such nice people. I would definitely go back if I come to Panama again. tips are make sure you bring bug spray and are ready and able to walk thru rocky water and do some climbing. we had water shoes that were recommended by the guide and so helpful but we saw other tours and their guests had on loafers and jeans and they were struggling.

Immerse yourself within a slice of Panamanian culture - We enjoyed our canoe ride down the river, the hike to the waterfalls was challenging and we loved it. The best part was the visit to the village itself. We enjoyed meeting the Embera people and their families. It was a warm welcome, we were given some historical background regarding the tribe, they showed us some of their traditional dances and even invited us to dance the rumba with them. We were very happy to be able to purchase a few items to commemorate our visit. We would love to come back and bring toys to the children the next time we visit Panama.

Nice trip/excursion - great tour. Hike to falls was nice. Not a good trip for anyone with any sort of struggles in walking and footing. Sweet families at the village. Not pushy to buy stuff. great history lessons. Great guide was assigned to us as well. Door to door travel was fantastic.
