A lovely day out - It's a great experience to do if you're staying in Melbourne. The tour group isn't too big so doesn't feel crowded and our tour guide Marty was wonderful. Puffing Billy was a lovely experience and Healesville was a beautiful setting to see the Australian wildlife. Finishing the day at the chocolate factory was a great treat

Just a fun day!! - Puffing Billy was just a fun, somewhat nostalgic ride. The Healesville sanctuary is a gem and has such a worthwhile mission. The short time we had there went by quickly…I learned a lot and really enjoyed the animals. Thanks to Marty for being a great guide! The travel and Melbourne area tips are appreciated and I loved driving through the hills…much more scenic than the freeways/motorways!!

great day on a puffing Billy steam train - The train was a fantastic experience. The Sanctuary is interesting though the koalas were sleeping all the time. The tour guide was nice and he gave precise info. Great day out!

Gav the Tour Guide - Feb 2025! - We had Gav as our tour guide on the Puffing Billy tour. Gav was fantastic and provided great entertainment with some hilarious jokes & great music! Our tour included the Puffing Billy, Healesville Sanctuary and the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie, with every stop we were provided with an excellent and very entertaining history lesson to further our understanding of the historic and cultural importance of the places that we visited. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the tour and Gav was an amazing Tour guide and was very accommodating.

Puffing Billy is amazing! - Our guide was late and had very little to say throughout the day, it’s like she didn’t want to be there. No AC on the bus, we were just frying in there. The driver didn’t know where to go and constantly had to rely on google maps. The Puffing Billy train was an unforgettable experience though hence I still give this tour 2*. The Healesville sanctuary looked cool but because of the heat all shows were cancelled and you had to be very lucky to spot any animals at all. That 3h there was a total waste of time. The chocolaterie at the end is nice touch when you know any chocolate you wished to take back to the city will have completely melted by the time you get back to the city (it was very hot in that AC-less bus). Book your own tickets for the puffing Billy train and skip this tour
