THE NARRATIVE
Convicted for 15 years for pilfering £1million, you have concealed the cash away from your gang. Now, you’re cornered in a prison cell with no exit! The fellow convicts are aware of your deeds, and they all want a piece of the money. Your only hope is to abscond while the prison is in lockdown. With just one hour remaining until the lockdown lifts, you need to act quick and figure out a way to flee your cell.

Great fun on the escape room and interesting - Great fun doing the escape room, we did it as a family and needed some help but it achievable in the time. It was a novelty being locked in a cell!
Afterwards we did the self guided tour which was interesting looking around.

Escape from Shrewsbury Prison - The room escape game at Shrewsbury Prison, was really enjoyable and highly challenging. Taking place in a real cell added an extra sense of reality.
The self guided tour of the Prison (included in the cost) was a fascinating journey into the darker side of British history.

We just escaped in time! - Fun, challenging but not overwhelming, and in an authentic space you want to get out of! The boss was excellent and set up the tone really well. A bit pricey, but you get to look around the prison too, and for a one-off experience it was worth it.

Fantastic visit with friends! - Brilliant experience and great activity with friends! All of the staff we came across were very attentive (lady on reception and host of the escape room especially!). We did the self guided tour first and then The Cell escape room. The tour was very interesting, and all of the signs were very informative. We somehow completed the escape room within 25 minutes and shocked the staff in doing so! Great morning spent there and we will definitely return to complete the other escape room.

Amazing experience.. - Fantastic experience. Characters played were brilliant. Puzzles to solve were a bit hard for a group of 2, need more to a group. Really was an exquisite day. Thank you

The Cell escape room - The escape room was based in a real cell. This added a novel twist on the escape room themes. Challenging enough to keep us busy but not so hard we got locked in forever. The only improvement would be that after solving the final puzzle making the end more obvious. We ‘escaped’ but then were still searching for clues because we did not realise that the door had unlocked (it was a very quiet click)

Have we escaped??? - Never done an escape room before so would have been useful to be given a rough idea of what to do - without giving too much away obviously. Wasn't clear when the escape was completed, expected the door to swing open, it was only when the guard came in to say time up and saw what we'd done that we realised we'd technically escaped.
Otherwise, really good fun and enjoyed the experience 😊

Jailbreak. An entertaining visit to tax your mind. - An interesting visit. The jailbreak breakout experience was well worth the money and taxed your mentality. A must do in Shrewsbury.

Worst escape room I've experienced. - The prison escape room is terrible. Greedy company- had one person running it and about 10 groups in different rooms therefore was not able to assist groups at all- it was incredibly frustrating. The room was also pretty rubbish, generic code breaking with locks on tins. Complete rip off.
