The beach was amazing on a horse - it was a great experience we went on the beach. One horse was kind of tired, but we are escorted by a wonderful 12 year-old girl and she did a great job.

Great experience! - A fun relaxing ride! Horses very well taken care of and our guide, Alex, went as fast or slow as we wanted. He took great photos and video, which he sent to us. The beach was beautiful! Very reasonably priced.

Great tour for any weather! - The ride was on a peaceful stretch of beach. We came on a rare foggy day but it was still the perfect activity for any weather. Our tour host, Crystal, was flexible and provided great communication and was very personable. Our guide, Alex was great with the group, giving us each the experience we were looking for and even took pictures and videos along the way that were shared with us at the end of our ride. Great experience!

Back again for another adventure! - This was the second time our big group of moms and kids booked the beach ride in Ensenada. The pick up from our cruise ship was easy to find and on time and the handlers were friendly and helpful with the kids who needed to be on a lead. They were careful to pair riders with horses that matched riding experience and temperament which meant everyone got what they wanted from the ride, be it a slow relaxing ride or something a bit more adventurous. You really can't find anything like this, having a beach all to yourself in the States, so it's a special excursion and the price is beyond worth the memorable experience. We also love supporting a woman owned business!

Worth it, would do again. - Had lots of fun. Got to ride for a good amount of time and they even let us run at the end. We were shuttled to and from our cruise port Which added a feeling of safety. They took some pictures, still waiting for them to send them over…

Amazing time! - Absolutely love Desert trails, this was our second time going and would recommend it for everyone. I’ve ridden horses for 10 years now but my parents haven’t ridden at all. Crystal did an amazing job matching us up to horses perfect for us and still really safe. They let you actually have fun and not have a very rigid plan of exactly where you can go. We also got food afterwards which was amazing. Can’t recommend this enough it was so easy as they picked us up from the cruise ship and dropped us back off with plenty of time. Highly recommend

Happy shore excursion - Our first horseback riding experience as beginners was fantastic and relaxing! The horses were easy to ride, following a gentle pace with minimal guidance needed. One horse was a bit friendlier, so I had to steer more than others, but overall, it was a chilled and enjoyable time. The 1.5-hour ride took us along a quiet, almost secluded beach with a cool breeze—perfect for a light jacket. The two guides led the way, making it feel safe and straightforward. We would definitely do it again. Logistics: Coming from a cruise ship, we easily found the meeting point and were picked up on time. The drive took about 30 minutes, with a restroom stop at the ranch, followed by a short ride to the beach where the horses were loaded. The entire experience lasted around 3.5 hours, leaving enough time to explore the historic Ensenada district afterward. The drop-off point was conveniently located near the shopping area, just a short walk from the ship. It was a well-organized, enjoyable adventure that combined scenic beach views with a relaxed vibe, perfect for both first-time riders and families looking for a unique experience. Happy travels!

Beautiful horseback riding on the beach - Our family was in Ensenada on a cruise 8/17/24. Pick up near the cruise port was included with this excursion, which was great. Chrystal picked us up and drove us to the beach. She is very friendly and communicated quickly the morning prior to the excursion. We enjoyed a beautiful ride on the beach. The horses were healthy, mild mannered and easy to control. We would highly recommend using them if you wanted to go horseback riding in Ensenada.
