The start- Arrive at Entebbe Airport

Entebbe - Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport (EBB) at 10:30 PM, our guesthouse representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel for relaxation and an overnight stay. The following day, you will meet your guide for a briefing and the start of your journey.

Murchison Falls National Park (On-foot Rhino Tracking at Ziwa)

Murchison Falls National Park - Depart from the guesthouse in the morning and drive towards Murchison Falls National Park. After 170 km, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for on-foot white rhino tracking. The sanctuary is home to about 33 southern white rhinos and other wildlife in a natural setting. Afterward, enjoy lunch and continue to Murchison Falls. Visit the top of the falls before heading to your lodge for check-in and an overnight stay.

Game watching and boat safari

Murchison Falls National Park - Set off at 6:30 AM, cross to the northern bank of the Nile, and embark on a sunrise game drive to spot Cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, Uganda kob, hartebeest, and waterbucks. You may also see oribi, bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, warthog, and bush pig, as well as large carnivores like lions, leopards, and spotted hyenas. Chimpanzees and olive baboons are among the six primate species found in the park. Crocodiles and hippos can be seen along the Nile’s banks.

Return to your lodge for a late breakfast and some relaxation before an afternoon boat cruise on the calm Victoria Nile, upstream to the base of the falls. Along the way, you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, waterbuck, and a variety of birds. The boat stops just meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron” for photo opportunities of the stunning Murchison Falls. Later, return to the lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner, and overnight stay.

Transfer to Kibale National Park

Kibale Forest National Park - After an early breakfast, transfer to Kibale Forest, known as the “Primate Capital.” The scenic drive along smooth roads and through Uganda’s picturesque west side leads to one of the country’s best-preserved tracts of forest, home to 13 primate species, including chimpanzees. Enjoy various stops for lunch and landscape viewing, arriving in the late afternoon. Check-in and take a community walk at Bigodi.

Track Chimpanzees and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park- Night Game Drive

Kibale Forest National Park - After breakfast, head to Kibale Forest for chimpanzee tracking. The activity begins at 8:00 AM with a briefing on the rules for trekking chimpanzees, followed by a search for them in the forest. Kibale Forest National Park boasts the highest number of primate species in the world, including approximately 5,000 chimpanzees in Uganda. An experienced ranger will guide you in tracking the chimpanzees in the morning. Once located, you will spend an hour with them before returning to your accommodation for lunch. After lunch, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most famous park. After check-in, prepare for a night drive through the park to search for nocturnal and other active animals.

Kasenyi Plains Game drive and Boat safari

Queen Elizabeth National Park - Explore the Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Drive through the network of tracks in search of big game, including lions, leopards, elephants, serval cats, kobs, buffaloes, and hippos. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, a 40 km long waterway that attracts wildlife during the dry season. The channel has the highest number of hippos, crocodiles, and several water birds. A 2-3 hour cruise offers a magical experience. After the cruise, drive through the craters (Crater Drive) and return to your lodge for an overnight stay.

Explore Ishasha and drive to Bwindi Forest

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Drive to Ishasha, the park’s most famous region. Ishasha is remote and runs south from Lake Edward, flanked by the Ishasha River. It is a captivating game viewing area known for tree-climbing lions and also supports large herds of buffaloes, topis, waterbucks, kobs, and elephants. The area retains a relatively untouched wilderness character. Search for the tree-climbing lions before driving to Buhoma, where you will visit a community of former fruit gatherers and hunters who once lived in the forest—the Batwa.

Gorilla tracking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for an overnight

Lake Bunyonyi - After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing by park ranger guides. Depart with picnic lunch boxes to start gorilla trekking, which can last up to 6 hours or more as you hike up and down the slopes with dense, mist-covered vegetation. This active quest will eventually bring you face-to-face with one of the most sought-after creatures—the mountain gorillas. Spend an hour observing and learning about their behavior while taking photos. Later, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for an overnight stay.

Explore Lake Bunyonyi and overnight at Lake Mburo

Lake Mburo National Park - After a leisurely breakfast, explore Lake Bunyonyi for another lakeside adventure. A 2-3 hour canoe trek on Bunyonyi will introduce you to the major islands and their rich history. Visit Punishment Island and Lepers Island with a local guide on a motorized canoe as they share the lake’s history. Afterward, drive to Lake Mburo National Park.

Morning walking safari and transfer to Entebbe

Entebbe - Wake up to the morning sunrise, have breakfast, and head to the park for a morning walking safari. Nature walks are a magical way to experience the bush, allowing you to notice smaller details often overlooked when in a car. Lake Mburo NP is one of Uganda’s parks where walking is a primary way to explore, always guided by an armed ranger. Around 10 AM, drive back to Entebbe, arriving around 3 or 4 PM for your exit flight.
