Uganda truly is the Pearl of Africa - To say we fell in love with Uganda is an understatement, and a lot of that has to do with Dav Safaris. Benjamin, our guide, was amazing. He picked us up at the airport in Entebbe at almost 04:30 and we were off on our almost 7 hour drive to prepare for our Safari. During our trip we had a cultural experience in a local village where we learned how Coffee is harvested and prepared from beans to grounds the traditional way. We also met with a medicine man who explained the traditional elixirs he can produce and what they are used for. The second day was our chimpanzee trek, and the entire experience was amazing. We were lucky enough that the chimps were on the ground and not just in the trees, and at a couple times the chimps walked within 3m of my wife! Day three was the gorilla trek, and while we were warned it could be harder than the chimpanzee trek, we were fortunate again and the trackers were able to find them in only about 90 minutes. We spent our hour with the gorilla family, and watched as the baby and two juveniles wrestled and played. The silverback kept watchful eye the entire time and the other gorillas came and went. We ended our tour by being dropped at a game lodge in the Queen Elizabeth National Park rather than being taken back to the airport, but usually full transportation to and from the airport is included. If you have the chance, sign up for these tours, you will not regret it.

Smooth Process, Epic Experience with Charles - Charles really made our time pleasant. He was super on top of things, communicating with the park rangers and got us a gorilla family close to the park entrance. Dav Safari in general is very reliable, I’ve seen their Safari trucks in Kenya and Tanzania before. I also did due diligence on them beforehand, you get exactly what’s promised. Would do anther tour with them.

Wonderful company, excellent experience! - I just finished a three day gorilla trek with Dav Safari. They were professional from start to end and I could not recommend them enough. Adison was my guide and driver. He made the entire experience wonderful. This is a wonderful company and I will definitely use them again on my next trip to Uganda.

Absolute life time dream come true. Incredible Ugandan and Zanzibar experience. - After seeing someone else’s reviews about DAV Safaris we decided to book our special 14 days Uganda Wildlife Safari and 4 days Tour to Zanzibar with them. No 1 bucket list item was see Mountain Gorillas . A 40 year dream. We are so pleased we did. From our first enquiry ( a What’s app video call to Reagan ) we were looked after very well. All parts of the booking process was so easy to do and all questions answered quickly by email or What’s app message. We booked early to be sure of our Gorilla permits. Our amazing guide Joyous Mwesigwa met us at Entebbe airport with a big smile and a welcome to Uganda the Pearl of Africa . Throughout our busy days he was excellent answering our questions and ensuring we had the best time. He was as enthusiastic to show us his beautiful country and the wildlife as we were to see . Not only very efficient in his guiding role he was also a really lovely young man and a delight to be with. We share lots of chats and laughter too. Thankyou Joyous from the bottom of our hearts for making our experience so memorable. You were amazing. Our safari ticked all the boxes. We travelled to/ through 6 stunning national parks. Wildlife - Saw the Big 5 up unbelievable close plus so much more. Each day bringing something new and even better than the day before. The Gorilla trek an absolute highlight, but then walking amongst chimps and giraffes is very hard to compare. Wow. The people of Uganda are extremely generous and lovely people who work extremely hard to live but always with big smiles. Had wonderful cultural experiences also visiting villages including the Batwa people and at Isunga in Kibale. Learnt so much. Our mid range accommodation was fantastic and the food ample and delicious. We had no safety concerns . Our 4 days in Zanzibar was also excellent. A big contrast to Uganda. Beautiful Shabba Boutique hotel in the heart of Stone town was really lovely. Enjoyed being out and about this ancient city and taking to the sea for snorkelling and swimming. The visit to a spice farm a highlight for us and very interesting where spices come from. We would highly recommend booking with DAV for your safari experience. Amazing. Gorilla tracking in Uganda, a once-in-a-lifetime trip - It exceeded all our expectations! We had an incredible experience, Adison was our guide throughout the trip and we couldn't have had anyone better by our side! Super kind and attentive to our needs. We felt privileged and super safe in his company. We also have nothing but praise for our experience with Dav Safaris. We were able to get to know and feel Africa for ourselves, and we met the pygmies, which was a super bonus to the tour. The trekking with the gorillas was simply perfect, we were lucky enough to find them in an area of open vegetation and we were very, very close to them, everything was perfect. From our transfer to the hotel, to the food and the tours. Top marks!

Amazing trip to see gorillas! - We booked a 4-day, 3-night gorilla trekking adventure with Davis Safaris, and it exceeded our expectations! The highlight was, of course, encountering the gorillas in Bwindi, but every part of the journey was memorable. We loved seeing the adorable golden monkeys and were captivated by the stunning beauty of Lake Bunyonyi. Our guide, Adams Gorilla, was exceptional. He was always punctual, kept us informed about the daily schedule, and had an impressive knowledge of everything we asked. Plus, he is incredibly friendly and hilarious. The van we traveled in was clean and comfortable, and the itinerary was well-balanced, with varied activities and accommodations that never felt overwhelming. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience for my first time in Africa, and I highly recommend Davis Safaris and Adams Gorilla. Thank you so much!

Two Italians meet Big Apes - Our tour was beyond our expectations! Everything went according to plan. We were picked up at ViaVia Lodge, the accommodation we chose for our first night in Uganda. At the pick up we met Solomon the agent and Adison, our tour guide! We then left for the longest drive across Uganda! Adison drove safely and smoothly while answering our questions about the country. The van was equipped with chargers and a fridge for cold water, definitely a plus! At Bwindi we slept at the amazing Gorilla Mist Lodge, which we really enjoyed, especially the fireplace at night :) Moreover it is very close to the Ruhija sector. We spent last night at Itambira Island tears of hope lodge: peaceful and quiet, with a stunning lake bunyoni view! We loved canoeing! Thank you very much for everything! We recommend these guys :)

Gorilla trekking as a solo female Aussie - I just finished a 4 day tour of both Rwanda and Uganda with Dav’s Safaris with Adams Gorilla as my guide. I had the BEST time!! The tour included the Golden Monkeys in Rwanda, gorilla trekking in Uganda and Bunyonyi lake in Uganda. It was such a great itinerary and highly recommend it to anyone, solo travellers, friends and also families. Having Adams as my guide was amazing, I am a solo female traveller from Australia and he made me feel so, so comfortable and safe, and was absolutely hilarious and so much fun! Great advice on everything as it was my first time to Africa, and showed me some amazing sights. He’s also from the area so he knows it well. So happy I had him as my guide and definitely recommend him as he made my trip what it was.

The most genuine guide! And the gorilla trip was so memorable - Amazing trip! Very accommodating guide/ driver ! Boaz was very kind and knowledgable fun and professional! He is very kind and really love what he does ! When ever your in Uganda ask for him !!!!! He also helped us organise to help and donate food supplies to 90 families in the village. He went out of his way to help us buy goods and deliver.

Amazing experience - We contacted DAV Safaris in March 2023 to schedule our July 2024 Golden Monkeys and Gorilla Trekking. Reagan was very easy to work with and prompt in responding to our emails. Adams was a great guide for our trip! Gorilla trekking was very difficult, but the reward of seeing the gorilla family made the difficult trip worth it.
