Archaeological Site Mycenae - Entering the region of Argolis and land of Homer’s Golden Mycenae, a UNESCO’S World Heritage site.Walk uphill to visit the archaeological site, home of the mythical king Agamemnon. Enjoy a walking tour and hear all of the myths and history as you pass from the Cyclopean Walls, the Lion’s Gate and the Royal Tombs of Agamemnon and his wife Clytemnestra and the Treasury of Atreus.

Recommended Day Trip From Athens - Small group trip (9 people) with a great balance of site visits and driving. Visited sites with historic interest and with beauty. Georgia was an excellent guide - friendly, knowledgeable and fun.

Great tour, great guides, and great service - There were 6 of us, + the guide Diani and our driver, so the group was small as described in the title of the tour. It was a great time, and Diani was very accommodating to all of us and was able to share the history and mythology of Greece flawlessly. She was also able to recommend other activities to do in Greece and in particular Athens (food, night-life, culture etc.) So for anyone that was coming to Athens as their first stop in Greece, this will be great. We had separate tour guides for the sites of Mycenae and Epidaurus. Both guides were amazing and were working archaeologists of the respective sites, so needless to say both very informative about what we were looking at. Our mid-trip stop in Nafplio was also very nice and relaxing, and we got to see a very different village/town in Greece as it had a very Venetian/Italian feel to it. Diani also recommended a few places to eat, which was helpful. My only complaint (and it's a very minor complaint) is the time we were given at both archaeological sites. Mycenae was just ok, but maybe an extra 5 minutes would make it perfect. Epidaurus felt like we only had time to see the theatre and no time to see the rest of the site, so maybe add a bit of time there if possible. Otherwise, this tour was great, and Getaways Greece was also very helpful when I misplaced my bag. We worked together to retrieve it, and it went smoothly. Thank you 😊
