THE TRIP RELATE TALES OF CANNIBALISM IN THE NOT SO DISTANT PAST , THE PRIMITIVE BUT EFFECTIVE SPEARS AND OTHER METHODS & TECHNIQUES FOR TRAPPING WILD LIFE’S INCLUDING PIGS, CHICKEN AND FISH . IF IT IS SUSPECTED THAT SOME FISH MAYBE POISONOUS, NI VANUATU WILL DEMONSTRATE A SAMPLE ON THE GROUND; IF ANTS AVOID IT, IT’S POISON HOWEVER IF ANTS EAT IT SO DO THE PEOPLE.
- Blue Lagoon - You will get to spend one hour at this particular spot to enjoy swimming in one of the best swimming holes on the island of Efate.
- Sara Beach - We will get to spend 1 hour break at the Sara Beach restaurant for some lunch. Enjoy the local cuisine prepared with passion and traditional cooking methods.
- Nasinu Hot Springs - The Nasinu hot springs and mud bath is a natural healing gift from nature. A mixture of sulfur and salt water that can soothe body aches, arthritis, muscle pain, skin conditions and has many more health benefits. It is preferable to bring short pants and swim wears for this particular stop.
- Mele Maat - We will make a brief stop for some photo opportunities at the great lookout situated on top of Klems Hill
- Tanna Coffee - We take a stop at the Tanna Coffee Factory where you will get to see one of our main agricultural exports and also get a taste of some fresh local coffee.
- The Kava House - Every great day spent on the island ends with a bowl of kava. You will get to understand the significance of Kava in our society and it’s current relevance in terms of business opportunities for the locals and how it drives the grassroot economy.

Great tour that includes so much ! - Highly recommend this tour. We had Phillip as a guide and he was lovely. The day includes the more well known tourist attractions like blue lagoon but also other destinations that weren’t on our radar. We were pleasantly surprised going to a beautiful beach on the complete opposite side of the island as well as locally owned hot springs. These places aren’t so frequented so we practically had them all to ourselves.
If you would like to see the entire island I recommend this instead of hiring a car - the drivers navigate the potholes on the roads like it’s nothing.
Fantastic value for what you get ! And its a lovely family owned business :)

Fantastic Day Out - We had the most amazing time on this tour (even with the rain!). Our guide Vincent and driver Moses were so friendly, full of knowledge and happy to answer any questions. Being a non-cruise ship day, all of our stops were pleasantly uncrowded so we had ample time to enjoy each experience. Highlights included seeing the cultural dancing at Pepeyo Village, rope swinging at the Blue Lagoon, picking up some fresh coconuts and laughing with our other group members in the mud bath. The delicious lunch with stunning views was a great opportunity to refuel before our last three stops. After a relaxing coffee stop at Survivor Beach, we closed out the tour with an interesting visit to the coffee factory and a kava tasting. Overall a very special, unforgettable day - highly recommend!

Fantastic tour - highlight of our trip. - Moses and Vincent were wonderful tour guides and really put their all into giving us an authentic experience. We arrived at each location with plenty of time to enjoy the sights and soak up the culture and never once felt rushed. It was a rainy day, but that did not detract from the enjoyment at all. Highlights of the tour were definitely the village cultural tour, the blue lagoon and the hospitality and friendliness of our tour guides. Thank you for having us, Yumi tours. Today was absolutely wonderful.

Great way to see Éfaté in a day - We had a great day on this tour! It's the best way to see Éfaté. We enjoyed everything we did and Philip was a very knowledgable guide. It was great being in a small group and it felt like we got so much out of the trip and could ask specific questions. Philip also knew everyone so it felt like a very personal tour. Tough to pick a highlight as there was so many! Must say that the view for lunch was possibly one of the best ever. You will not regret this tour!

Worth the experience - Was an absolute blast from the village experience right through to the Blue Lagoon, the mud bath, the lunch and all the rest. Our driver Julian was outstanding and told us so much about tradition and places we went to see. I fully enjoyed myself Kia kaha kakite ano 🤘🏻🤗 greetings from NZ ( go Deutschland ) 🤪😁

Wholesome experience - I was short on time and this tour seem good to get a wholesome experience of Vanuatu in a day. It lived upto my expectations. I was picked up on time. My guide was friendly and accommodating. We had enough time at the sites we went to. Cultural experience was really cool to start the day and and all those scenic sites afterwards driving around in the island, Lunch was delicious, Kava was worth it! I highly recommend taking this tour.

Highly recommended! - I highly recommend this tour! The best tour I have experienced while travelling solo. Philip (the tour guide) is very knowledgable and genuinely care about his country. He took us to 7 spots but did not feel like we were rushed. The views are stunning! But most of it, I really enjoy Philip’s story for each spot and our conversation on the road. This makes the tour feels like you’re spending time with a friend :)

1 hour delay in leaving, missed out on 2 of the days attractions, POOR communication. - 1 hour delay in leaving and communication was extremely poor. My family was made to wait 1 hour due to a bus not being available (which we learnt later in the day)- all without any firm answers or information at the time, simply standing in the sun and waiting. This meant that our trip had to be shortened ( we didn't have time for the Survivor Beach or Kava Tasting and almost didn't get back to the boat in time (2 minutes to spare) which was extremely stressful! During the tour the driver barely talked to us, simply arrived at the attractions and pointed in the direction that we should walk, we were hoping for a little more commentary or the opportunity to ask a few questions. Unfortunately we can't recommend.
