Absolutely Wonderful - Recently booked Yumi Tours for a shore tour during our Pacific Island cruise. We had Julian as our driver and he was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and such a friendly man. He was so patient with our group as we asked a million questions. My favourite stop was the Blue Lagoon where Yumi provides a BBQ lunch. The food was delicious and there was plenty to go around. I did not take my partner or children with me during the cruise but I loved Vanuatu so much I will be heading back in the near future to show them the wonderful island and will definitely be booking with Yumi again. Fantastic service. Well done.

Amazing day! - Absolutely fantastic day! Vincent our tour guide was just wonderful sharing information about Vanuatu as we drove through, he was informative and also threw in a few jokes which was great! Cultural tour was amazing, learning about the ways of the people in the village and how they are trying to preserve their culture. The lagoon was great we had a great time but it just felt so man made, not very natural feeling- but we did have a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Thank you Yumi Tours you were great!

100% Perfection and Highly recommend - We arrived via cruise ship and before we where off the boat our tour guide called to confirm location and meeting point. First stop was Eden an amazing place where I could have spent all day. From just relaxing in the river to jumping in fro. Rocks and trees with the local guides. Next was Blue Lagoon enjoyed also was a bit colder due to the wind but had more fun jumping off the rope swing and various other activities. Lunch was served as a buffet BBQ. Get selection of food and very tasty. Cultural Village was great to get an insight into some of the traditional customs. The enjoyment in the little kids was great to see. Duty free shopping was last and wee the credit card got hit with such cheap liquor.

Ricky is a top guide! - We went with Yumi tours from the cruise ship port and the experience was excellent. Our guide, Ricky, was a great host and gave us heaps of insights into the culture and history of the island throughout the tour. The cultural village was a big hit with the kids. 5 stars

Fantastic experience in Port Vila!!! - What a wonderful experience. Air con minivan. We were a group of 10 people. Julian was our guide. He took us to learn the culture at a local village. Went to Eden River, The markets, duty free shipping outlets, and the blue lagoon where we had a free BBQ lunch all organised by Yumi tours. Fantastic day out. HIGHLY recommend!!! No extra cost to enter it was all included in our fee.

Our bus was used for another purpose - Generally the he excursion was good, especially the Vanuatu village and blue lagoon. However, the excursion got off to a rocky start. They took us to a market/store (for duty free) for a 20 minute stop (there were no souvenirs). They said we could leave our bag in the mini-bus. When we came out, our bus was not there and was told it was being use to pick up other people. And would be back shortly. It came back 40 minutes later a full hour. First, our bus should not have been used for another purpose, especially with our stuff in it. We could not do anything during those 40 minutes as we were told the bus would be right back.

Good Itinerary - Poor Operator - This was advertised as a guided tour but there is no guide, only an uncommunicative bus driver. The places we were taken to were well worth seeing but we were not told anything about the locations and not told of the arrangements for lunch. Yumi Tours had numerous tours to various activities and the driver dropped us off and left us to pick up other customers. At our last stop we were left waiting for about 30 minutes after all other tourists had left and we were very concerned we’d miss the cruise ship departure.

Our experience in Dec 2023 - When we first arrived the tour operator tried to over crowd a mini van. On both groups refusing the travel arrangements we were taken to another van that this time had an extra seat and we were squashed in as tight as we could with no aircon and had to rely on windows and movement to get air into the cramped cabin. Was a horrible experience travel wise. The lunch is a VERY light lunch we were all still hungry after the lunch that was put on at blue lagoon. No water was offered throughout the trip. I would not recommend booking a tour through this operation based on our experience. The other group that we were travelling with felt the same as we did. We did another tour the following day with Vila Hope and it was like chalk and cheese. Completely different experience and only wish we went through them on the first day.

GOOD LUCK AND DON'T EAT THE FOOD. - From arrival at Port Vila it wasn't looking like it was going to be a good day, directions on the paperwork said to turn left towards the exit, walk 500m and look for the orange flag. No flag, no Yumi staff to direct the us back the 500m to where the flag really was. Finally met a guide called Phillip, I explained that the directions were incorrect and that it might be a good idea to stand to the left to possibly stop any other customers doing the same(nothing done). We finally a worse for wear looking Vehicle, when inside we close the windows so that the aircon can be put on to keep the driver and guide cool because it definitely didn't work in the back. First stop the Duty Free, well priced but little choice, on to Eden on the river which is made out to be something it isn't, little watering hole to cool down(locals bathe and leave without taking their unwanted beer cans and other packaging to blow into the river. Blue Lagoon next, some organisation on time slots would be great, we could barely get into the carpark, vans everywhere which obviously would lead to a very over populated Blue Lagoon which we did manage to find a spot to dip our feet in, but too busy for a relaxing swim. Little did we know, but our cruise was about to take a turn for the worst. Lunchtime, a BBQ lunch was served with chicken, sausage, rice and salad which at the time seemed to be ok, slot of the other passengers did say that the chicken was very pink and probably not cooked. At the time we thought everything was fine. Onto the Cultural village experience which is the only thing worth getting off the ship for. So back to the ship, almost dinner time we move it back to 7.30pm as we didn't feel eating again so soon after a late lunch. 7.30 and we go for dinner, the first course comes out and we can't bring ourselves to eat it as we both begin with stomach cramps forcing us to leave and return back to our cabin, shortly followed by the dreaded Gastro. The BBQ lunch was the only time that we had both eaten the same food which was the obvious cause for our illness. Having posted on the Quantum forum to check if anyone else had been ill, the response wasn't really surprising, 2 of 4 ill, someone else's husband just to mention a few. Our final 2 1/2 days would be spent in our cabin with this illness, we're home now and entering our forth day with the symptoms continuing. Contacted Yumi Tours with what their staff had contributed to our cruise, they said SORRY. THAT'LL MAKE GOOD FOR OUR PAST 4 DAYS, THANKS YUMI TOURS FOR A MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE.
