Unbelievable Herculaneum - Such a great work still in process. Takes you back in time & makes you really grasp how the events happened.

Herculaneum - Our tourguide Carmela did inform us about everything, especially pickup point and time. She was so warm and helpful, we loved her. Also Alessio as our guide did a great job. He gave so much information, it was a pleasure. Because of a medical incident in our group, wie lost some time in herculaneum, but the ladys health was our main concern. Alessio helped a lot, and brought her safe back to the bus.

Perfecto'! Loved this amazing place - Wow, so quiet and relaxed. The place is quite amazing. Different to Pompeii and must be visited. Arianna was fun, happy and lovely. Roberto drove the bus like boss. Our tour guide at the site was really knowledgeable too. You can really imagine and feel what it was like there 2000 or so years ago. Mad.

Small Group Herculaneum - I highly recommend the small group tour. We had such a personalized experience with our archeologist tour guide, Carmen. So many other tours were with large groups and it was difficult in some buildings for all those people to see the important site in the building while the guide was talking. We had none of those problems in our small group. We learned so much about Herculaneum and saw so many unique points. Carmela was our tour leader and met us at the pick up point. She also shared a lot of information with us on the drive. The entire experience was very worthwhile.

Good tour guide but moved... - Good tour guide but moved our English tour to an hour later with the Spanish tour, feel less time to see all because the guide needs talk twice with 2 languages.

Disappointed and confusing - My tour of eight people by an archeologist of Econo was cancelled the day before it was due, indicating that not enough people had signed up. I was reassigned to a general tour group of Akono. On my previously booked tour, I had arranged to be picked up at my hotel and then dropped off there after the tour. Now I was told I would have to make my way to Piazza Garibaldi. That cost me €30 round-trip. I was told that I would be compensated for the difference in price of the tours, but think I should also be compensated for my Taxi fair. When I tried to inquire whether I was to be picked up at my hotel or at Piazza Garibaldi, I was rather Ridley dismissed and told it was Pat Garibaldi though I continue to get messages saying I would be picked up at my hotel. Very confusing. When I arrived at Pat Garibaldi on time, there was no one holding a Viator sign, but only one woman holding a world tour sign. I waited about 15 minutes and then I was advised she was the Viator person. This was very confusing and could’ve easily been improved. The tour at Econo was excellent with local guide Alessio who had the four English speakers in the group. He was, however, not an archaeologist.

Challenge finding ride to tour - Both driver and tour guide's English wasn't great, had a hard time finding my ride. Our tour guide had a heavy accent and was hard to understand at times.

Disappointing - Though less expensive than Context Tours, this tour illustrates the saying “you get what you pay for” and we got little. The tour was shorter than planned. That guide did not show us significant features of Herculaneum, a fact, I realized on the tour as I eaves dropped on other tours and that we learned with our Context Tour guide in the Archeological Museum in Naples. Every time that guide asked us if we saw something in Herculaneum, we had to say no. We were even rushed through the air-conditioned museum in Herculaneum at the end of the tour for no reason other than the drivers clearly wanted their day to end. Hugely disappointing.
