The bus will be waiting for you to return to the station square and to continue your visits perhaps to the Archaeological Park of Ercolano. This is the only opportunity to go up to Vesuvius and above all with the entrance ticket included that allows you to plan your trip in advance and not run into last minute problems, being every day always sold out. Please note: the scheduled entrance could be postponed for reasons of force majeure related to the influx of daily bookings, therefore we ask for patience and understanding, for us the important thing is to be able to let you enjoy the crater!

Meeting point at our I Point Ercolano office 30 minutes before the official departure. We are located 20 meters to the right past the exit of the Ercolano Scavi train station, reachable from Naples via the train to Poggiomarino Via Scafati, or from Sorrento via the train to Naples. Send a message via whatsapp once you have finished to complete your reservation, thank you!
NOTE: trains headed to Sorrento from Naples will not stop at the Ercolano Scavi station due to a temporary service variation. In case you find yourself on such a ride, get off at Torre Annunziata and take a train headed back to Naples; trains to Naples from Torre Annunziata will stop at every station, including Ercolano Scavi.

Well worth it! - Brilliant trip! Getting to Ercolano can be tricky, and train tickets from Napoli can only be booked in person, but once in Ercolano the trip was seamless!
But was exactly on time, and plenty of time was given to explore once we reached Vesuvius. An amazing trip and well worth the price for the amazing views from the edge of the crater!

Fantastic trip to mount Vesuvius - We arrived at the office 30 minutes before departure time and were given a voucher. The bus arrived 5 minutes before departure and we were given our tickets to go to the top of Vesuvius . The bus departed on time. The driver was very good. We had 2 hours at the top before the bus would collect us which was plenty of time. The bus collected us on time.

Good driver on hairy roads!! - We were lucky to have sunshine. Amazing views of the Bay of Naples and the Islands. The walk up from the coach drop off was doable in the two hours we had. Coach pick-up/ drop-off area is chaotic. Take a phone picture of the pick-up time, the driver/ the coach registration number. The same coach picks up as drops off. Be back in good time.
I was worried about the drive up and down - I'm not good with flying round hair-pin bends on steep hillsides. Thankfully, our driver was absolutely marvellous. He tooted the horn before all sharp blind bends, went steadily and left good distances between himself and other vehicles. I felt completely safe, which made a huge difference to me. It meant I could relax and enjoy the actual trip. Took 35 mins each way roughly. Full coach. No complaints. Well done!!

Great savings by using Viator. Loved seeing Vesuvius. - Thoroughly enjoyed the trip up Vesuvius, it took my breath away (literally). The bus drivers do an amazing job taking the buses up to the starting point, I take my hat off to them.
We took the train from Sorrento, fortunately other tourists kept us right about changing trains. At the station we had a bit of difficulty in locating the right office to direct us to the bus as it didn’t have signage outside, but the girls on reception were very helpful once we located it.
It certainly saved a lot of money doing this trip through Viator, and will use this company in the future.

Good tour - The bus took us right up to the hike! It was quick and easy. Finding the ticket office was a little difficult but after that everything was great!

After the poor check in experience everything was great. - Directions weren’t real clear about where to go to catch the bus. After the check in and once on the bus everything was excellent.

a short visit - it was ok for the last minute booking. the driver barely had any interaction with the passengers, once we arrived we were given 1h45 to go up and come bavk and not the 2 h as advertised. also, there was a promise of coffee upon arrival, also didn't happen 😅 and you are way overpricing your service, the agency charges 25 eur, so you're raising the rate for almost 50%

Walk to the top - My most memorable part was that I was able to walk to the top and see inside the crater. It was stunning.
On the flip side, we missed the bus back ti the train station as it was chaotic and unorganized. Buses and cars everywhere going in every direction. To get off the mountain, we had to take a taxi, 20 euros each.

Never buy tickets via Tripadvisor again - Insufficient information. The first bus was already full and when we wanted to board the next bus (20 minutes later) we were told the online tickets are not valid. First we were sent to the wrong building. Then back again to pick up a payment confirmation. That should be on the descriptions. Never again Tripadvisor 😫😏😔

Didn’t went well. Not happy ! - We had a very bad experience booking our tickets by Viator.
Firstly the tickets assigned was not able to be recognized by the Bus service and secondly we were charged 3 times the original price of Mount Vesuvius. Had to rush here and there at last moment as nobody was having any clue on from the tickets were booked. Finally one lady from Vivatickets helped us and provided 3 tickets for the bus . To which we boarded at last moment.
I will not recommend to buy tickets from here and prefer buying from some other places. Please stop charging thrice if you you do not assure to have need to end transparency in providing the service to customer.
