We then take a trail deep into the heart of the sub-tropical rainforest, abundant with hanging lichen and moss. This is unquestionably one of the most significant eco-systems on this island.
Suddenly, like a sorcerer’s trick, open rural landscapes unveil, providing us some of the most breathtaking panoramic scenes of Tenerife. We then gaze down at the Masca gorge and surrounding volcanic terrain. On a clear day, the grand finale is the incredible sight of Mount Teide standing tall in the distance across the Santiago valley and the lava fields situated high up. Our expedition continues along comfortable trails through the Pine forest, and majestically descends into a valley that evokes the beauty of the English countryside.
This is a moderate trek, stretching 12 km with an ascent/descent of 375m over varying terrain. Its highest point is at an altitude of 1100m, taking around approximately 5 hours.
