Great tour of the Sandwich harbour - The tour guide Winton was extremely enthusiastic and had a lot of knowledge about the area. After a drive through the cities we arrived at a huge plain full of flamingos. An innumerable number of flamingos danced violently to extract as much food as possible from the soil. Then we drove to the sandwich harbour, an area where the huge sand dunes turn into huge sea waves. Driving through the dunes and across the beach we saw many seals, birds of prey, jackals and goats. As the tour progressed, the dunes became higher and higher. Winton got more and more excited about riding which made it feel like we were on a roller coaster. Each time he stopped at the most beautiful viewpoints where we could look out over the sea that kissed the sand dunes. In the middle of the dunes an extensive lunch was provided and we could fill glass bottles with the sand of the dunes. A memento of a unique piece of this world. Thanks for the great tour!

Absolutely worthwhile Sandwich Harbour 1/2 day tour - We booked a half-day tour to Sandwich Harbour, which left Walvis Bay in the morning. Our guide Gerhard met us at the meeting point on time and we drove to the lagoon with the flamingos. Then we drove past the salt production facility and across the beach to the Namib Naukluft Park. Gerhard told us lots of interesting facts and his driving skills are just amazing! It was so much fun driving across the beach and especially through the dunes! He has a lot of experience and we trusted him completely to drive up and down the adventurous sand tracks. We made plenty of photo stops and even had a little picnic in the dunes. A really recommendable tour, absolutely worth it! Our guide Gerhard is great!

A MUST do experience! - I had the best time today with Gerhard exploring Namibnaukluft Park and Sandwich Harbour, seeing the seals, and salt beds (where you see the red water). He was a great, safe driver, and even on the steep slopes of the dunes, I never felt uncomfortable. Because of him, I managed to capture so many amazing photos that I wouldn't have otherwise been able to! One tip, wear flip flops that you can remove and walk on the sand barefoot! It was really relaxing and the sand wasn't hot at all. Plus, much easier than trying to not get sand in your shoes. Speaking of sand, you also get a souvenir bottle that you then fill with your own sand, which I thought was a great touch. I absolutely would recommend this company and Gerhard to anyone wanting to come and see where the desert meets the ocean. This is much more than a "just ok" tour, and you WILL be disappointed if you skip out on this. This is why you come to Walvis Bay!

Optimal overall package - We spent half a day with Hannes, who guided the whole thing in a humorous way. He showed off his driving skills in the dunes. A really great tour, entertaining, informative and wonderful impressions. As well as flamingos, we also saw ibexes, oryx and even dolphins.

À must-do experience, simply stunning, and with an amazing guide Hannes - A must-do! Stunning ride, with our amazing guide Hannes We went for a 4x4 trip half day which was truly incredible. Our guide picked us at our place in Swakopmund and took us back. He provided just enough information for us, with a great sense of humour and left us some space to simply enjoy the beauty of the ride. He’s a very good driver, we felt always safe with him. He always spotted whenever we wanted to take pictures (of oryx, or dolphins for example). He was very attentive to our needs. And cherry in the cake, he provided us small bottles to take a souvenir of the pink and the yellow sand. Also, the lunch was very good too! We could enjoy this at the most beautiful place, with the big dunes and sea. It’s really a must-do experience if you are near Walvis bay or Swakopmund.
