Highlights
  • Fuente de los Banos de Montanejos - It is one of the main attractions of the town. It is a spring with a flow rate of 6,000 litres per minute, which allows the river Mijares to recover part of the decline that it suffers upstream for the diversion to the course to the Cirat dam.

Its water has constant temperature of 25 ° C, the water has hypothermal effects and makes bathing pleasant throughout the year. It also has hydro geochemical and biological properties beneficial to health.

Physiographic of the channel in this area has allowed the formation of natural pools that are an excellent rest area, which is also equipped with picnic areas and playgrounds.

According to legend, the Moorish king Zeit-Abu-Zeit had built a bathhouse for women of his harem to be maintained always beautiful and young.

  • Montanejos - We will make a guided hike (optional). The hiking route gives us the opportunity to enjoy wonderful views of the town and the river, we will go through the mountains, then we will follow a path along the coast of the Mijares river that will take us to the stream that releases water at about 6000 liters per minute!

This trail is suitable for everyone, even though you have to be prepared and wear suitable shoes to walk a lot.

  • Cueva Negra - We will make another optional short hike (around 1 hours) to the Black Cave.
The black color that covers the ceiling of this cavity is due to soot from bonfires, which demonstrates the existence of human settlements in past times. Great job of the tourleaders - The best thing is the personal treatment and the availability of the guides. They make it not just a simple excursion with unknown people and give you the opportunity to make new friends and spend a great day in nature.

One of the best trips - I went to this trip in June and it was amazing! The monitor was really friendly and the place is breathtaking. I recommed this trip to everyone who want to escape to the nature. You can either do the hike or just spend the time at the river.

Not worth it - Not worth it. You just walk with a huge group of 70 people like you are in high school. Guides do not give lot of explanations and the pools were so overcrowded
