Highly Recommended - Jan was an excellent guide with a great sense of humour, and had a lot of exciting stories. My boyfriend and I still mention him when comparing him with another guide we met on our trip. Thanks for making us know more about Cesky Krumlov.

Got the overview the night I arrived and it was great - Jan's tour was great! I arrived in Cesky Krumlov in the early evening on a one-night visit and booked the Wiseman private night tour so I could hit the ground running the following morning. It was exactly what I was looking for. Jan is a lifelong local who is passionate about the history of his city and happy to share his city with visitors. He is personable, witty, helpful, and speaks English very well. We did a lap around the old town and the tour provided a great overview of its history and the major sights to see. The photos Jan shared with the projector definitely helped make the stories come to life. He also made two restaurant recommendations that both overlapped with the guide book I brought. Plus the city was quiet and some of the views were quite beautiful at night. It was definitely expensive compared to the daytime tours if you're a small group, but for me it was worth it to make the most of my short time in the city. Also, as a side note, Jan messaged me the afternoon before the tour to offer to start earlier, so the start time is flexible based on the guide's schedule. The message showed up as a text message that I couldn't reply to, but I was able to respond via TripAdvisor.
