What a great morning! - What a wonderful morning! Faisal was so knowledgable, friendly and patient with our many questions! The walk was great to explore, and it was amazing to see the women’s cooperative and have the chance to learn from them. We really enjoyed it!

Really interesting tour - Loved walking through the open countryside learning about the argan trees and visiting interesting buildings along the way. The ladies who served us with mint tea and were producing the argan oil were pleasant and invited us to ‘have a go’. Fizal was a great guide and enjoyed our company as much as we enjoyed his. Highly recommend.

In the countryside - Excellent !! leave the medina of Essaouira to discover a rural world with its history and its way of life. A full visit accompanied by a guide Malika, very interesting and very pleasant, impeccable service, no downtime, everything is surprising in the Arganniers countryside as well as other cultures won from endemic drought, the vestiges of a bygone world (culture sugar cane, visit an argan seed farm and drink tea with locals in short, a beautiful walk to take

Knowledgeable guide offering valuable insights into Morocco - Naima was a wonderful guide with huge knowledge about all the things I asked her about life in Morocco - not just about the argan forest. I'm so glad I did this tour

Great tour to learn about Argan products and the local area - Our guide tour guide Naima was very informative and knew a lot about the area, the argan trees, the culture and the process of making argan products (edible and cosmetics!). The pickup details was very clear and very timely. Transport to the forest and everywhere else felt safe and comfortable, the walk itself was not too difficult. We loved learning quite about the village, Marabout, the old sugar refinery, berber families and the whole process of making argain products. We're looking forward to using the argan products we bought at the cooperative. One advise is to bring a well fitted hat, sunscreen, lots of water and a wind breaker with you if you ever come in May. Thanks for a great experience Naima!

Highly enjoyable walking tour of Argan forest plus visit to Berber house - Under the guidance of Naiima who really knew her subject matter well, we spent a highly enjoyable few hours walking round an Argan tree forest (where we actually saw goats climbing up Argan trees which was not staged). The tour also included visiting the tomb of an ancient holy man, the ruins of a seventeenth century sugar refinery, a visit to an Argan oil co-operative and, best of all, a visit to a Berber lady's house where we drank mint tea and ate home-baked bread. We loved every minute of it, not least because Naiima made it interesting. Highly recommended!

A village market and an oasis - not to be missed - These small group randonnees have been a major highlight of our three visits to Essaouira. They are so well guided and give an extended picture of Moroccan life that we could never discover by ourselves. We had so much enjoyed our day excursion two years ago, to a village weekly market followed by an idyllic 2 hour ramble through the olive groves, a tagine lunch with a Berber family and a visit to an argan oil womens cooperative that we signed up again and enjoyed it just as much the second time. Otman is an excellent easy-going and informative guide; it was good to see him again. (See also my review Donkeys and tortoises in April 2013) This time we also did the half day to the green and sunny Oasis and the delightful elderly potter. Another fascinating glimpse of Moroccan country life which I wouldn't have missed for anything. Again Otman taught us a lot - about the land, the farming and irrigation, about marabous and cutting mill stones and we had interesting discussions. The only disappointment was that we'd been looking forward to a 5km walk, whereas it was a gentle meander of at most two kilometres.
