- Explora Watersports: Kitesurf, Surfing and Windsurf Centre Essaouira Morocco - For our Private Windsurf Lessons this is just you and the instructor which enables you to progress faster. The lessons are with the instructor in a boat so close to you at all times. We also sometimes use BB Talkin headsets to give you a constant flow of instructions.
If you are a beginner the lessons will start the other side of the bay from our centre where the water is calmer, the instructor will be in a boat so close to you at all times.
If you have windsurfed before you will meet the instructor first so you can explain your level and experience, he will then tailor the course to suit you.

Amazing day wing surfing with explora - My girlfriend and I visited explora in August 2023. We booked through GetYourGuide, but I recommend going to their shop and researching all of the options because they have some incredible lessons on offer.
We originally had booked a two hour kite surfing lesson, but upon realizing that it would be impossible to learn how to kitesurf in one day, Explora was very accommodating. They recommended other fun lessons we could participate in where we could get in the water quickly.
They recommended Wing Foiling. Essaoui was our guide and he was amazing. He gave us a very informative, and easy to understand lesson on the beach, and then he took us to the water.
He was encouraging, friendly, helpful and funny. He challenged us when we needed it, and made us feel safe and secure out in the ocean.
I would HIGHLY recommend Explora Watersports for any activity, and you should request Essaoui if he’s available. He is fluent in French and his English is excellent as well!
We will definitely come back next time we are in Essaouira.

Fantastic watersports centre with a great vibe - We've had an absolutely fantastic time learning to windsurf at Explora. We booked a last minute trip to Essaouira whilst on holiday in Marrakech. I called up Explora after finding them on the internet and spoke to the owner Nasser who was very helpful in talking through options for windsurfing lessons.
On arrival, we found the watersports centre to be really well equipped and staffed by friendly and helpful English speaking instructors. There's a lovely beach cafe / restaurant looking out to the sea where the non windsurfers chilled out whilst we were on the water.
Our instructors Essaoui and Anwar were professional and friendly and soon got all six of us up to speed on our windsurfers. My kids (ages 14 - 9) especially were inspired by their cool beach vibes and couldn't wait until their next lessons.
The whole centre had a great vibe to it with windsurfers, kite surfers and kitefoilers all hanging out.
