A Journey Through Time and Culture

As a wildlife photographer with a deep love for Africa, I was drawn to Morocco’s rich tapestry of landscapes and cultures. The Grand Tour of Morocco promised a comprehensive journey across the country’s diverse terrains, from the Atlantic coast to the Sahara Desert. My adventure began in the historic city of El Jadida, where the ancient Portuguese citadel whispered tales of exploration and trade. Walking the ramparts, I felt the Atlantic breeze and imagined the ships that once sailed these waters.

Essaouira, with its vibrant medina and bustling port, was a feast for the senses. The aroma of thuja wood mingled with the salty sea air as I wandered through the narrow streets. I indulged in fresh seafood at a local vendor, savoring the flavors of the ocean. The Riad Mimouna, where I stayed, offered a tranquil retreat amidst the lively city, and I spent the evening reflecting on the day’s adventures.
