We had the trip of a lifetime, and we have Sahara Trek to thank for it! - We highly recommend Sahara Trek if you are looking for a tour company who will customize a private tour based on your group’s needs and wants, with the knowledge and experience of where to stay and go all around Morocco. From our first call, Luiza was so patient answering all our questions, not to mention all her efforts to accommodate our many wishes while making sure that we stayed within our budget! Every time we called to ask more questions, she either already knew the answers or checked into our requests and got back to us very quickly with information. We packed so many activities and cities into our vacation and Luiza guided us through the whole planning process providing all the necessary logistics to arrange our itinerary. Even though we selected standard accommodations to keep the price down, every place we stayed in was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and most importantly air conditioned (except for the cave room)! After Luiza emailed a list of all the riads she planned for each night of our tour, I asked if they all had pools. This was very important to me because it was so very hot while we were there, and I knew that I’d want to jump into a pool almost every day. Anyway, Luiza confirmed each riad had a pool in it or if there was a pool that we could use in a related location or advised if it was unavailable. We loved all the riads we stayed in, and they were all conveniently located in the heart of each city we were visiting. Only one of the raids we stayed in was modernized, but the rest were authentic with traditional Moroccan décor, some with rooftop dining, lounging, or gardens. The riad hosts and staff were all warm, welcoming and helpful! Included in our tour was a personal vehicle and driver, Fouad, who was our guide, translator and bodyguard. He took very good care of us throughout the entire tour. At each stop he handed us off either to the riad staff or the tour guide for our next adventure. He always had water bottles ready for us or knew where we could stop if we needed anything during the tour. He took us to a place for lunch one day that we wouldn’t have even noticed if he didn’t know about it. All the food was fresh and delicious and very reasonably priced. We were very happy with the tour guides Luiza booked for us in each city (with special thanks to Aziz in Marrakesh, Mohammed in Fez, and Mouna in Rabat). They were friendly, respectful, and extremely knowledgeable. Our tour included many of the activities that are part of the 9-day Deserts and Empires tour detailed on Sahara Trek’s website, however, there were a few unexpected activities during the tour that were truly a pleasant surprise like making pottery at the mosaic workshop during our day in Fez. We had the trip of a lifetime, and we have Sahara Trek to thank for it!

Unforgettable tour of Marrakech, Rabat, and Fes, plus a night in the Agafay Desert. - I went to Morocco with 3 friends and we worked with Sahara Trek to plan the trip. One of our party already reviewed the trip and I agree wholeheartedly with her review! In addition I want to give a shout out to our guide Aziz in Marrakesh. He was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly and accommodating. I won't soon forget his bright smile and his strong encouragement to try all things Moroccan (i.e., the food in the square, ride a camel in the desert and get a hammam)! Our guide in Rabat was also very good - we were only able to spend a few hours with him given our schedule; it was Eid, very busy and we learned a lot. All this to say (again) what a great trip Luiza at Sahara Trek helped us plan. The trip was unforgettable, made especially so by the people involved: Luiza, our amazing driver Fouad, and our three guides (including Mohammed in Fes)! Thanks to all!

Great Morocco experience - We used SaharaTrek and Luiza to help us arrange our recent trip in Morocco. We had a general plan for our tour of Morocco and Luiza was very helpful in advising re specifics and in getting us riad/hotel and activity reservations. Once there our driver (and interpreter) Fouad provided much useful information and made suggestions for things to see that we had not thought of; he looked for things that we asked for. Local guides were arranged for us, including Mohammed in Fez and Aziz in Marrakech. Our experience with Luiza, Fouad and Sahara Trek was very positive and we would not hesitate to engage them again; they made arrangements which worked and were very responsive. They took care of all the details, transportation & lodging in Morocco. We were able to relax and enjoy adventure from Casablanca, Fez, Marrakech, Tangier, Chefchaouen, the Sahara and every stop in between! Our driver Fouad was a world class guide who made wonderful suggestions to enhance our experience. I recommend SaharaTrek to everyone who wants to experience an unforgettable tour of this country!

Fast, Friendly and More Then We Hoped For - Don't get much time away from work, so had to make every day count. Took SaharaTrek's 7 day Ancient Empires. They had another tour that included a camel ride, but we did that already in Egypt and that was plenty. Other companies offered similar tours, but they have time-fillers like tea in a tent, etc, and I don't have time for that. In 7 days, we saw everything in Morocco we wanted to. The imperial cities, roman ruins, and the blue city. Loved the mix of guided tours and self-exploration. Liked that they only included breakfast and dinner because we love to go out and find our own food options. A real highlight was the Ghost Tour of Fez. No one else did that and it really made the tour for us.

Would do it again! - The mandatory family vacation went better than ever this year when we visited Morocco with SaharaTrek. We took their short “Essential Morocco” tour, and it was perfect. No wasted time on uninteresting and vaguely authentic tea ceremonies with pseudo-nomads and other bits of tired schtick. This was fast-moving, hit the highlights, just the right amount of time, and never got boring kinda tour. Hands-on, always moving, always seeing. Loved the mix of guided and self-guided time and how we could be flexible enough with the schedule so we were moving faster with things that interested us less, and spending more time on things we were more interested in. Loved the ghost tour of Fez!

Amazing tour! - We had an awesome time on the private tour of Morocco with SaharaTrek. Everything was super organized and ran smoothly. We saw a ton of sites and the tour was catered to us. The ghost tour was a special treat we did not see offered anywhere else. The guides were professional and knowledgeable. Before I contacted SAharaTrek I tried putting it together myself. It was way too hard, confusing and kinda scary. With just Moroccan companies you don't know who you are dealing with. But SaharaTrek made it all easy and are a trusted American company. Would definitely recommend.
