An exceptional walking tour with an extremely knowledgeable guide - What a great walking tour!! Ray, our guide, blended history, local knowledge and humor in a tapestry tying the past to the present as he guided us through the historic streets of Colchester.
His knowledge of the local history is encyclopedic and his interest in his subject shines through his wonderful presentation.
I highly recommend Ray as a tour guide and we will definitely be taking more of his tours when we return to Colchester.

Spooktacular ghost tour of the city - A great way to spend an evening. Easy to find, ends in a hotel with a bar, informative and fun with great access to some of the spookiest spots in the City. It's quite history heavy, but we absolutely saw this as a positive as it adds a lot more colour to the stories.

Making history fun - A fun and entertaining evening that gets you out the house and learning a new perspective on Colchester as you learn all about the history from Ray, a very knowledgeable host.

Uniquely interesting tour. - Ray was very knowledgeable of all aspects of the history of Colchester and showed us areas of the city we, as residents were unaware of.

A mountain of facts, delivered in an interesting, humorous way - fantastic! - If you like history, you'll love the Colchester History Tour.
Our tour guide Ray, was fantastic, he's the best tour guide I have ever had. His knowledge of Colchester is just amazing! He delivers his mountain of facts in an interesting and humorous way, as he takes you back in time.
I will definitely, be booking another one of Ray's tours in the future.

Thank you Ray! - Ray not only knows his stuff but delivers it with humour and panache. He can see and understand the historical connections that make us who we are today but making it clear that our predecessors were every bit as intelligent and resourceful as we are and maybe more so because life was more precarious than now. You come away feeling a sense of awe. How on earth did our predecessors leave us such wonders? We are indeed standing on the shoulders of giants. Thank you Ray.

Fabulous Tourguide - Excellent Tourguide, was super friendly and knowledgeable about the history and stories of Colchester. I went on the ghost and witches tour and despite living in Colchester my whole life, I still learnt so much more about the history and hauntings in the town. Tourguide built an excellent atmosphere for the evening and was very engaging and entertaining. Great night, highly recommend especially at such an affordable price.

A must do tour. Brilliant! - A must do if you are interested in the history of Colchester; for locals or tourists. Ray is incredibly knowledgable and packs the tour with immense amounts of fascinating information. He is also very entertaining and even drops in food for thought about our relationship with the past.
