Bale Mountains National Park - Travel from Addis Ababa to the Bale Mountains National Park. Arrive at the park headquarters in the afternoon and enjoy a game drive, followed by a relaxing afternoon hike. Keep an eye out for two endemic mammals: Menelik’s bushbuck and the Mountain Nyala. Birdwatchers can look forward to spotting the blue-winged Goose, spot-breasted Lapwing, Abyssinian long claw, wattled Ibis, black-headed Siskin, Rouget’s rail, and many other bird species.
Trek to Sodota
Bale Mountains National Park - Embark on a game drive through Dinsho and enter the national park. Around Dinsho, expect to see the Mountain Nyala and Menelik’s Bushbuck. While trekking, there is a chance to encounter Ethiopian Wolves. Take a pleasant break at Habera Waterfall. The hike will last 6-7 hours. Camp at Sodota. Continue trekking to Wasama through a picturesque landscape with breathtaking views. Pass through Mararo Valley, home to Lammergeyer and Verreaux Eagles. There is also an opportunity to see the Ethiopian Wolf and various bird species. Trekking will take approximately 5-6 hours. Camp at Wasama.

Enjoy a game drive and trek to Wasama through a scenic landscape with stunning views. Pass through Mararo Valley, where Lammergeyer and Verreaux Eagles nest. There is also a chance to spot the Ethiopian Wolf and other bird species. The trek will last around 5-6 hours. Camp at Wasama.
Trek to Gebre Gurracha
Bale Mountains National Park - Begin the day by hiking up Mt. Wasama (4200m) and then descend into the Worgona Valley. Look out for falcons, raptors, and possibly the Ethiopian wolf. Conclude the day at Lake Gebre Gurracha, which means “black lake” in the Oromo language. The trek will take 6-7 hours. Camp at Gebre Gurracha.

Travel from Addis to the Bale Mountains National Park. Arrive at the park headquarters in the afternoon, just in time for a relaxing afternoon hike. You may spot two endemic mammals: Menelik’s Bushbuck and the Mountain Nyala. Enjoy overnight camping near the park entrance.
Day 2: Trek to Sodota

Day 3: Trek to Wasama
Embark on a trek to Wasama, passing through a breathtaking landscape with spectacular views. Expect 5-6 hours of trekking. Camp overnight at Wasama.
Day 4: Trek to Gebre Gurracha
The trek to Gebre Gurracha will take approximately 6-7 hours. Camp overnight at Gebre Gurracha.
