Wonderful Experience - I'm always looking for things to do with visitors. A google search found Eugene Eats Food Tours, and I booked the Whiteaker Walking Tour for my husband, me, and two guests who were visiting from out of state. Siera, who is the owner and was also our guide, arranges everything and the fee includes all food, drinks, and tips except for the guide tip. All we had to do was to show up at the starting point. The food tasting at various stops included a nice variety of dishes: Indian, Japanese fusion, Mexican, seafood and dessert. We also tasted beer, had a mixed drink and drank coffee at a small business that roasts their coffee. We were even able to learn something about the coffee roasting from one of the owners. As we walked around the neighborhood, Siera told us some of its history and also details of the murals we passed. Not only was Siera knowledgeable about the restaurants we visited, but she knows a lot about other restaurants, wineries and breweries in Eugene/Springfield and surrounding areas. All four of us really enjoyed the tour and thought the food and drinks tasted were excellent. Eugene Eats Food Tours is now on my list of things to do when we have visitors in the future. I intend to be a repeat customer.
