Highlights

Arrival at Kathmandu (1350 meters)

Unique Adventure International P. Ltd. - Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.

Fly to Lukla (2860 meters) and start trek to Phakding (2610 meters)

Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 meters)

Irish Pub - After breakfast, we start with a gentle walk to Monjo, another beautiful Sherpa settlement on the trek. Here, you’ll officially enter the Sagarmatha National Park and need to show your permits (SNP entry permit and TIMS card) at the office in Monjo. The walk to Namche Bazaar involves a challenging uphill climb of about 590m, taking approximately 5 hours. However, halfway up the hill, you’ll get your first views of Everest and Lhotse. As you approach Namche Bazaar, you’ll see the peaks of Thamserku (6,648m) and Kwangde (6,224m) to the East, and the sacred mountain Khumbila (5,707m) to the West.

As the gateway to the Khumbu region, Namche Bazaar, at an altitude of 3440 meters, is famous for its many bakeries and local market (haat bazaar) held each Saturday. Built on a steep mountain bowl with excellent views of the high Himalayas on either side, the town has restaurants, shops, banks, and currency exchange facilities. Remarkably, for such a remote location, there are also cyber cafes and pool halls available.

Acclimatisation at Namche Bazaar

Irish Pub - It’s important to walk to higher altitudes during your two-day stay in Namche Bazaar. You have options to trek to Khumjung, where you can visit the local school and hospital, or to Thame village, home to Sherpa Everest expediters and the great Everest Sherpa Tenzing Norgay. Alternatively, you can trek to the airstrip at Shyanboche (3720m). Above the airstrip is the Everest View Hotel, established by the Japanese to bring affluent tourists into the region for a prime view of Everest. However, the hotel’s altitude of nearly 4000m caused many visitors to suffer from altitude sickness.

Trek to Tyangboche (3870 meters)

Trek to Dingboche (4410 meters)

Dingboche - Chhukhung Path 7 - Your journey will pass through wooded forests and along the Imja Khola valley. The views will become more impressive as the high Himalayas begin to surround you. You’ll gradually contour to Pangboche, an interesting gompa site above the main village. This is the oldest monastery in the region, dating back to the introduction of Buddhism to Khumbu. You’ll then climb up to Dingboche at 4360 meters. The views of Amadablam and Island Peak are breathtaking.

Acclimatisation at Dingboche

Dingboche - Chhukhung Path 7 - Today, we have another day for acclimatization. You can head to another beautiful part of the Khumbu region, Chhukung, which offers a magnificent view of Mt. Makalu, Island Peak, Peak 38, etc. Alternatively, you can hike to Nangkartshang Peak.

Trek to Lobuche (4950 meters)

Lobuche - The valley becomes barren as you walk up towards Lobuche, but your attention will be firmly on the snow-capped peaks soaring above you. The path joins the trail below Thugla and offers beautiful views of Cholatse (6442m) across the valley. The path can become quite rocky in places, so it’s important to watch your step. After another steep ascent, Tawache and Nuptse are particularly spectacular from Lobuche, towering almost 2 kilometers directly overhead.

Trek to Everest Base Camp (5360 meters) and back to Gorakhshep (5160 meters)

Everest Camp II - Today, the walk towards Everest is along the Khumbu Glacier. You’ll reach the small village of Gorakhshep, where you can have lunch. After lunch, the trail will lead you to the Mt. Everest base camp at an altitude of 5400 meters. Everest base camp offers an unforgettable view of Khubutse, Mt. Pumori, Changtse, and the Khumbu icefall, instead of Mt. Everest.

Trek to Kalapaththar (5545 meters) and trek down to Pheriche (4371 meters)

Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 meters)

Irish Pub - You’ll now retrace your steps back to Lukla. The walk to Tengboche via Pangboche offers spectacular views of Amadablam, Mt. Lhotse, and other Himalayas. You’ll travel through the rhododendron forest, across the Imja Khola, and pass several monasteries along the way.

Trekking down the hills, you’ll reach Phungi Tenga and follow the path across the Dudh Koshi river, walking along the pine forest. You’ll reach Sansa and then Kyanhjuma, finally ending the day at Namche Bazaar.

Trek to Lukla (2860 meters)

Fly to Kathmandu (1350 meters)

They got me to Everest Base Camp despite being 56 years old during the monsoon season. - My work schedule permitted me go on the Mt Everest Base Camp Trek only in August during monsoon season. Unique Adventure International accommodated my schedule and even though I was the only traveler who booked for the August 3 slot, they provided me a guide and a porter. Khum (the owner of the company) met me at my hotel before the trek, and greeted me at the airport when I returned. My every need was looked for by my guide Ramesh and my porter Bishnu. The professionalism they displayed is a benchmark for every profession to aspire to. Although I am 56 and was 265 lbs (120 kilos), they got me to Everest Base Camp.

Smooth trip - It’s the best agency not only in Nepal, in whole Himalayas that arranges exactly what you want. I took a custom EBC tour for 9 days which I wanted to challenge myself, and it went all smoothly. Thanks to agency owner Khum for being in touch all the time and giving a reasonable price. Thanks to my guide Balkumar for keeping me up on high altitudes, even we didn’t acclimate, he was being a good example for me to keep myself strong and keep going whatever the condition is. Was a great experience. See you on the next hike!

EBc Gokyo Lakes tour by Unique Adventures International - Friend of mine recommended Unique Adventures for my dream trip to EBC and Gokyo Lakes tour. I was a solo traveller and I was treated exceptionally well. I was received at the airport by the director himself. All though airport transfers, hotel bookings, on the trail before and after he put his personal touch. I got an English speaking guide and porter, very experienced and courteous who arranged accommodation on the trail and meals. Gokyo EBC route trek is a must if you want to experience the beauty of Nepal and the people. Mr. Khum of Unique Adventures has a great team and you will enjoy fully. I recommend Unique Adventure any day! I give 10/10.

Everest Base Camp success! - Our 10-day Everest Base Camp trek with helicopter return was an experience of a lifetime! The team at Unique Adventures International was very responsive to our pre-trek questions and were very accommodating to our needs. Raj was a fantastic guide and traveling companion - we were in excellent hands. The real test of a quality and reputable tour company comes in times of difficulty, and Unique Adventures International came through for us. Due to poor weather in Lukla and Kathmandu during our visit, our trek was impacted, and we needed to find alternate transportation to Lukla in order to minimize delays to our return home. Khum and team came through for us with priority helicopter service and was able to manage the fluidity of the weather situation on both ends of our trek. In the end we were only minimally delayed, where others we encountered experienced significant disruptions.

Best EBC experience! - First time in Nepal and I did EBC with Uniqe adventures and it was indeed amazing and accommodating! Had a wonderful experience with our experienced guide Chandra, funny and full with knowledge, 10/10!
The whole process was seamless and smooth. Khum even went out of their way to help me out when I arrived to Nepal with no cash and I had an issue with card payment (which was my fault). Highly recommend!

Best EBC experience - I loved every minute of my 11 day EBC trek. The whole experience was well thought out from being picked up from the airport, meeting Khum, the company owner, receiving a briefing and being able to ask any questions. Our tour guide, Raz, was very supportive, attentive and went out of his way to make sure we had the best and smoothest experience possible. He was very patient with us when we were exhausted and was key to us reaching Everest base Camp healthy and in good spirits. Our porter, Teelak, never failed to greet us with a smile. I will be forever grateful for the countless memories that Unique Adventure Intl has given me. Thank you!!

Unforgettable trek - We have travelled with Mr Subedi's company before. We were very satisfied from the first moment. Fast communication excellent cooperation. We met in person after arrival. The tour was wonderful. Unforgettable memory. It was also due to the fact that our guide Chandra prepared everything for us and took care of us.
