Additional Information

As implied by its title, the Everest View Trek offers a spectacular view of Everest. Our journey kicks off in Kathmandu with tours to UNESCO World Heritage Sites, followed by a trip to the most sought-after region in Nepal. As part of our trek, we visit the Tengboche Gumba, positioned at an altitude of 3,867 m and renowned as the largest monastery in Nepal’s Khumbu region. This location grants us breathtaking views of Nepal’s Himalayan range, including Tawache, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and of course, Everest.

The Everest View Trek incorporates a plethora of Nepalese mountain vistas as well as deep and engaging cultural experiences with the Sherpa community, clearly linked to Buddhism. This trek provides an ideal opportunity for anyone desiring to absorb the awe-inspiring beauty of the Nepalese Himalayas, especially Everest, while participating in a manageable trek.

  • The Itinerary details is in brief due to word constraints. Please visit Himalayan Glacier website for more details.
  • Experience is not necessary for taking part in an easy trek, anyone fit and healthy enough to walk for 4-6 hours a day can manage easy treks. These treks only involve lower altitude with daily ascents of around 300-600m on a generally good weather, well maintained paths and with easy access to local amenities.
  • During our trek, we can enjoy authentic Nepalese food as well the more common international cuisine (Tibetan, Continental, Italian, Indian, etc.). Breakfast and dinner will be served from the teahouse or from a lodge menu where we spend the night whereas lunch will be served on the way to the next destination. All meals will be provided during trekking while only breakfast will be available in KathSpring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) are the best months for this trip. Although this trip can be taken during winter, the cold temperature might not be suitable for everyone.mandu. There will also be welcome and farewell dinners for guests.
  • We will be accommodated in Yatri Suites & Spa or Hotel Moonlight or Similar in Kathmandu and teahouses during the trek. All accommodations are on twin-shared basis. Single supplement will be served on request and will cost an additional USD 350. Himalayan Glacier will arrange rooms with attached washrooms; however, teahouses in some places only have shared washing and toilet facilities. Also note that single rooms are readily available in Kathmandu and the trekking regions at lower elevation but it might be difficult to find them at higher elevations.ety is of paramount concern while traveling with Himalayan Glacier. Please note that your leader has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to safety concerns. Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary; however, since this adventure entails travelling in remote mountainous regions, we cannot guarantee that we will not deviate from it. Weather conditions, health condition of a group member, unexpected natural disasters, etc., can all contribute to changes in the itinerary. The leader will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, but please be prepared to be flexible if required.
  • Please note that often the Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu flight gets delayed by a few hours or may even be canceled for one, two, or more days due to unfavorable weather conditions. Such conditions may arise even in the best seasons. Hence, in such cases, you must be prepared for long waits either at Kathmandu or Lukla airports, as this can happen either at the start or end of the trek or even both! We will do our best to avoid such delays, and arrange the next flight for you. We also organize Helicopter rescue in such conditions, if it is available and upon request by our clients. The helicopter charges around USD 3500 and it can lift 4-5 persons per flight. Still, we suggest you to be prepared for possible delays/cancellations, and if possible to come with some extra buffer days (1-2 days) at the end of the trip to accommodate such delays. If everything runs smoothly and you still have a few days of your buffer days left then you may even engage yourself in optional activities which can be arranged by Himalayan Glacier upon request. The optional activities may include visiting places/landmarks of your choice, adventure sports, shopping, etc. In case the flight delay/cancellation happens at the start of trip and it goes so long that it disturbs your onward travel schedule, you are free to choose an alternative trip such as a trek in the Annapurna, Langtang, or any other region. If you are not interested in the alternative trip and would rather wait for your original preferred trip, you are welcome to wait in Kathmandu for as many days as it takes to get a flight to Lukla. However, please note that there will be no refund, if you lose time waiting at the airport and do not take an alternative tour or you only do a short trek later due to time limitation. If the cancellation happens before the trip, we will provide you accommodation and lunch in a guesthouse in Kathmandu. In case of the flight delay/cancellation after finishing of the trek, you will be responsible for all your expenses. Please also note that you will not be entitled to any refund for the services (such as hotel, transport, flight, etc.) included in the package that you would not use later.
Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

A Journey to Remember: Unforgettable Nepal Adventure! - We had an incredible time in Nepal thanks to the great team at Himalayan Glacier. Beginning with our trek on the Everest Base Camp trail, our guides, Suresh and Bhakta were so wonderful. They really looked after our needs, made sure we had good food and felt comfortable along the way. The hiking is quite challenging, even for experienced hikers, and having our guides there really helped ease the worry of logistics and such. And none of this would have been possible without amazing coordination and planing from Rayuna who handled many emails from us prior to the trip as we built out just the right program traveling with two teenagers. She was so helpful and continued to be through the very last day we were there. Many thanks to Himalayan Glacier for a spectacular adventure!

An awesome experience - The beautiful scenery, people and culture of Nepal and the Himalayas made this trip one of the best that I have done, and I have travelled abroad a number of times. Spending time exploring the mountain villages and being amongst the locals going about their normal business was a delightful experience and the memories are now etched in my mind. The tour company, Himalayan Glacier, made the trip so easy and trouble free. From airport pick to drop off at the end of the trip I did not have to worry about a thing. The flight to Lukla, all accommodation and meals during the treck were arranged for me so I could could simply enjoy the treck in a hassle free environment. I had a large menu to chose from at all places and the food was delicious, especially the Sherpa vegetable soup. I'm planning to go back and do the Everest Base Camp treck next year with Himalayan Glacier. I strongly recommend planning to stay in Kathmandu for a few extra days after the treck in case of inclement weather delaying the flight out of Lukla. I was lucky and caught my scheduled flight but quite a few people were delayed for 1 day and 2 days as safety is paramount.

Everest View Trek - It was the second visit to Nepal for my husband and l, and we never doubted the Team at Himalayan Glacier to provide us with a wonderful experience. Prior to our trek in Nepal, through Himalayan Glacier we organised 6 days in Bhutan with 4 days in the Druk Path Trek. In spite of my partner experiencing illness on the first night of our trek in Bhutan and deciding not to continue with the trek, we had an amazing experience in Bhutan and in some ways it worked out better than we ever imagined, as it provided us the opportunity to gain unique insight into the culture aspects of Bhutan and seeing a mask dance performance at a monastery in Paro. It was a very intimate experience and lovely opportunity to mingle with the locals. Our guide in Bhutan, Phurba was a lovely young man, very helpful, friendly, extremely knowledgeable and took care of our every need. Being a little bit nervous about our plans for our Nepal Trek, to Goyko Ri, we altered our trek in Nepal to the Everest View Trek. We were concerned that it might not be possible due to the short notice and being peak season, however Himalayan Glacier handled everything smoothly and made us feel at ease through the entire process. We felt extremely well looked after by Himalayan Glacier and felt like we've made life long friends. Himalayan Glacier organised for us to trek with Shanker, who kindly guided us on our previous visit to Nepal in 2014. It was lovely to reconnect with Shanker and spend time together enjoying each others company. With our Everest View Trek, we added in extra night in Khumjung, allowing us extra time to explore this peaceful village and nearby Kunde village, visit Edmund Hillary memorial site on the hilltop offering amazing 360 views at 4,200m. Khumjung and Kunde were quieter villages and it was lovely to get off the main trail. We absolutely loved our time in Nepal and Bhutan and can't thank everyone at Himalayan Glacier enough for making our experience so memorable and special. We truly appreciated their kindness and thoughtfulness. We hope that we can visit Nepal again in a couple of years and experience another region of Nepal, with Himalayan Glacier at our sides.
